An Assortment of Pictures (11/2-11/15)

So Aunt Lis was able to use a special memory card recovery program and I got back a lot of my missing 250 pictures. Thanks Aunt Lis! You are the best!
So with that being the case I have an assortment of pictures not in order from the last 2 weeks!
Summer also met Santa for the first time on Saturday but you are just going to have to wait to see how she did!
As usual life at the Zimmerman's is busy busy but oh so fun!
Enjoy!

Here are 2 pictures from a local photo shoot we did. Aunt Lis came with her fancy camera to get some photos. Summer had 3 outfit changes and numerous hair accessories. There will be plenty more to come. I can't wait to see all the ones the 3 photographers got! So much fun!

Can you find Summer? She's 5th baby from left. So sweet!

Summer loves this Leap Frog playboard. It sings, plays music and teaches Spanish!

Playtime is fun!

Aunt Lis came to watch Summer for me one night. Here Summer is holding her bottle on her own. Pretty good considering she only gets a bottle maybe once a week.

Fun times eating rice cereal! It's like paste and so so messy!

Seriously Daddy, I think that is mine! You are silly!

Tom learned this trick from Aunt Lis. Summer will fall asleep being held like that!

We actually had one really cold day last week (the past several days it has been in the 70's) so I had her in this sweet sweater outfit and then put on the hat for some photos!

Look closely and you can see Summer's hair sticking up after I took off her hat!

This past week we had to lower Summer's crib. She was greeting me like this but up so much higher. She's now also sleeping on her belly!

Morning Mommy!
Such a great way to start your day!

Uh oh...

So my memory card is acting up and my last 250 pictures are GONE! I am sure you would think I would be in a panic attack but luckily I can order all the ones from my blog from last week and the pictures I was going to put on this week were of Summer with a sippy cup, starting to crawl and Summer playing with her new toys. I will have just have to take more. My Mom did have this one from Mommy and Me so here it is. I figured I had to do some kind of update. Thanks for keeping up with the Zim Family and I will have lots of pictures for next week I promise!

Summer is 6 months old (10/27-11/2)

Wow! Summer is 6 months old! I have to admit I am a happy sad right now. Wait until you see the pictures with her bunny from Newborn until now! The changes!

I love love love being a Mom and seeing all the changes that Summer makes daily. She has such a special personality and her smile just lights up a room. She sits so well on her own and is on her way to crawling (watch out world). She had her first "meal" of rice cereal and is growing like a weed. We don't have her 6 month appointment until mid month but based on our measurements she is 17lbs 4 oz and is 26 1/2 ". We will see how close we are.

Happy Fall Y'all as we say in the south!

Happy Viewing as well!

Look at me I am getting "Soooooo Big"!

And back to the 6 month photo I just took November 1st!
Happy 6 month Birthday Summer Lynn!!
Now for the quilt pics! Here Summer is at 5 or so days old in May.
Itty bitty!

Here she is all smiles at 3 months old! August

Here she is now a long girl at 6 months old! November
Summer is almost off the quilt from that spot. Her pants were a little long but she really isn't quite off the quilt yet!

I think I might have to start calling "Mommy and Me" to "Mom-Mom and Me." I got to be "Ms. Jen," the teacher, this week at "Mommy and Me." I love helping Ms.Nancy out and teaching. Mom then gets to bring Summer. It's a family affair!

Here are Summer and Jack watching the other kids and me do a silly song!

F is for Fish! What a great job Summer (Mom-Mom) did painting!

I took Summer to Tom's tennis match the other night and she really enjoyed watching Daddy play. Maybe a future tennis player on our hands??? We shall see! Daddy sure hopes so! :)

We had brunch on Sunday to celebrate Tom's and Chris' birthdays! It was yummy, yummy and of course Summer was all dressed up in a polka dot dress!

Summer's first time eating rice cereal! She loved it. She was trying really hard to feed herself. I think the spoon feels good on her gums!

Yummy!

Messy, messy! Summer had a bath next!

Give me that spoon Daddy!

I want more!!

Some more Halloween pics!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

It's the blog post of comparing pictures! Here Summer is in her Papa Jack's T-shirt that she wore as a dress! She is a month and half in this pic. Papa Jack's is a local Country Kitchen that we got to every Saturday for breakfast.

Here she is now in the shirt! It fits like it should and now she wears it as a T-shirt with jeans instead of bloomers as a dress!

Yup, I am on the move...scooting, rolling around and just about ready to crawl!

Push ups!

So the other morning I was getting ready and had the Today Show on. Summer sometimes looks at the TV but generally could care less. Well I saw her watching it so I changed it to Sesame Street! It was a hit. She giggled at Elmo. I tried to get a pic of her watching it but of course she caught me so instead she is smiling at me. Below is that silly Elmo on the TV!

She soon got tired of Elmo (in about 2 minutes) and playing on the bed so she moved into her exersaucer to play!

Happy Halloween! 10/31/09

Happy Halloween
and
Happy Birthday Tom!
That's right Tom has a Halloween Birthday. :)
I have to share a story that Tom's mom told me about his Birthday. When Tom was little he asked his Mom, "Why doesn't everyone get to dress up for their birthday like I do?" Tom thought that for your birthday you got to dress up for Halloween. So sweet!
Enjoy our precious girl in her Halloween costumes. That's right she has 2! My Mom got her the pumpkin and then I just couldn't resist the purple flower! The weather has been rainy all day but seems to be clearing up so hopefully Summer will get to go trick or treating for the first time. Since it is Daddy's birthday we will let him have the candy!
Happy Halloween!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Halloween!

A Family Tradition, Pumpkins, and Cups (10/20-10/26)

A Family Tradition

So Tom and I decided that we are going to take Summer to a Burt's Farm Pumpkin Patch every year...even if she is sick like she was this year! Poor baby! Regardless it was our first family tradition! Traditions mean a lot to me and I am really happy we have started one of our own.

As for Summer being sick she has had a small cough this past week and then over the weekend it developed into a cold. I knew she wasn't feeling well when we went to get pumpkin pictures with her playgroup baby buddies and she wasn't smiling. Yes, little Miss Sunshine didn't feel good or like the windy cold day.

As for the the pumpkin patch Tom and I took her to on Sunday I figured the fresh air couldn't hurt and the pictures turned out better then I thought!

Summer missed the costume contest and the Halloween Party at Mommy and Me because she wasn't feeling well. I am happy to report that as of right now (Monday night) she is doing much better and the Advice Nurse at our pediatrician's office says that unless she gets a fever then we don't have to come in yet! Yay for that!

Well enjoy my little pumpkin at the pumpkin patch! Have a great week! :)

Seriously Daddy I don't feel well and I am hot.

Burt's Farm

Summer's first hayride. It was really a good one. The hay was everywhere and they don't crowd you in. I was very impressed. It was worth the 1/2 hour wait!n Hint-don't go to Burt's farm the Sunday before Halloween. Have Daddy take off work and go during the week!

Some Smiles!!

It was a beautiful day at the pumpkin patch!

This picture is actually from Saturday night during Tom's Birthday Tennis Round Robin. She slept bundled in her stroller the whole time.

Here are the pictures from the playgroup baby photo shoot. "Pumpkin Patch Kids." I didn't really get any good ones but wait until you see the ones Mr. Kevin, Coleson's Daddy, got! WOW! Thanks for taking and putting all that effort into the photos!

Mommy I don't like the wind and the cold and it is making my nose run.

The babies were lined up from youngest to oldest.

Summer, Coleson, Lawson, Addison and Sophia

five months to 10 months old

So sweet! I can't believe all the good ones Kevin got!!!

I LOVE This one, even if Summer isn't the happiest!

Cups....yes summer loves cups and plastic bowls! And yes I realize she is sitting on the kitchen counter. The things you do that you never thought you would. I was cooking (okay everyone don't faint) and Summer just wanted to be right with me (remember she isn't feeling great, although very happy in this picture) and anyway the best idea was this and it made her happy! She had 2 bowls to play with!

More cup play! Summer was determined to get that cup in her mouth. Oh by the way check out the hair she is getting on the top of her head. It is hard to see in lots of pictures because it is very fine and most of it very blonde.

Summer in the Fall (10/13-10/19)

Summer in the Fall!

This post is all about fall pictures, the fall festival and Summer's grandparents coming to visit in the fall (and a cute orange hair bow)!

As most of you know or at least have realized at this point I get monthly pictures done of Summer. Here are some of her 5 month photos. I also had Halloween photos done at the same time that you will just have to wait to see! :)

Happy viewing!

Grandma Susie and Grandpa Max came to visit for several days from Indiana. We had such a great visit. Come back soon!!

We can't wait to see them again in November at Thanksgiving time!

We started Halloween activities at Mommy and Me so of course Summer had an outfit for the occasion.

Grandma Susie got to go with us to Mommy and Me! We had a great time. Good thing Summer's grandma's like to come. I am not sure if I could ever get done all of Summer's craft projects!

Here's Summer trying out her Candy Corn project that Grandma Susie helped with.

Grandma Susie gave Summer these cute candy corn socks. So sweet!

Ms. Nancy is back teaching Mommy and Me and Summer was watching her intently. Wait to you see the next picture of what Ms. Nancy was doing.

Ms. Nancy taught us about Fire Safety and here she is with Aidan doing Stop, Drop and Roll!

Our Fall Festival in our neighborhood was on Saturday and it was a bit cold and a bit rainy..it misted all day. Summer was prepared with her hat, bow, peacoat, orange and polka dot pants and cute shoes. She was a hit at the Festival!

Daddy, Grandpa Max and Summer

Aunt Lis, Me with my face painted and Summer

Having a rest in the middle of the Festival. We were there from 9am-almost 4pm. I was in charge of all the volunteers so that's why we were there for so long. Mom does the Bake Sale and Melissa came to help out where needed but really to hang out with Summer!

Dad was a part of the Chili Cook Off. He came in second place. Maybe next year Dad!

Mom, Gail, Melissa and Summer at the Bake Sale table. Mom does about 80% or more of the baking! So so so yummy!

Summer loved being in the front carrier. She was in it for about 3 hours and even stayed in it past a feeding. She is just so nosy that it worked out great for her to see everyone and everything.

Summer has crazy big yawns and we finally caught one with the camera. She was getting really sleepy......
.....and she fell sound asleep for about 45 minutes in the front carrier!

Yup, she's got Grandpa Max's ear. :)

Summer's up on Daddy's shoulders!

We went to story time and she got to make a pumpkin with her name on it for the library door. This is the only picture of her not eating it!

Watching the other kids at Story time.

Daddy lovin'!

ROAD TRIP to Maryland (and other fun photos)! 10/2-10/12

Wow! The last 10 days have been busy busy! We went on a road trip to Maryland. Mom, Summer and I loaded up her mini van and made the 12 hour drive to visit some very special ladies. It doesn't usually take 12 hours but when you stop to feed and let a 5 month old stretch it adds some time. Not that we minded. Sweet Summer slept most of the way. 8 hours on Friday to be exact. This meant she was getting up every 3 hours at night. That's okay though. I will take it. Better then a screaming baby for 12 hours in the car. She barely ever cried at all. She really is such a good baby. We got to stay at Aunt Rita's and were spoiled rotten...good food, good conversation and really good desserts! Thanks Aunt Rita!

While in Maryland we got to celebrate with Erika and Jessica at Erika's baby shower. She is having a boy and we couldn't be more happier for her. It was great to see everyone at the shower and of course Summer was a hit. She is a social butterfly. Congrats Erika and Bill! We can't wait for Little Boo to get here!

Summer and I also had the pleasure of doing lunch with Alyssa and meeting Candice and Tony's new itty bitty baby Michaela. She is so sweet and wait to you see the hair on this baby! She makes Summer look huge. It's hard to believe that Summer was once almost that tiny (Michaela was 1 oz less and 2 inches shorter then Summer). They grow so quick...watch out Can and Tony. It was great spending time with Alyssa and Candice and it was great to see Can, Tony and Michaela together. They are a beautiful family both inside and out!

Oh and one last thing...check out Summer on the Gretta La Rue blog (you can click on it to the right). She is in Purplicious wearing an adorable hat! Soon Summer will be showing off some of these clothes. I just love them all and Melanie, the designer, got some special purple fabric just for Summer. Melanie also made my double stuffed brown Boppy you always see in my pics!

Sound asleep after a busy travel day. This was on the return trip to GA.

Having fun on the playmat. She loves that giraffe!

Summer puts everything in her mouth. Not only is she exploring her surroundings but she is helping that tooth come through. That's right we feel one coming! I will keep you posted on when it makes it's arrival.

Look at how tiny Michaela is and how huge Summer looks. Michaela is 4 days old and Summer is 5 months old. Michaela is beautiful!

Summer loves her new friend!

The happy family...Tony, Michaela and Candice.

Look at that hair! I LOVE it! Summer is still such a baldy (which I love too!).

Alyssa played with Summer our whole lunch! We got to eat outside at the Cheesecake Factory! YUM! I don't know who it enjoyed it more....Alyssa playing with Summer or me getting to eat a whole meal uninterrupted!

Alyssa gave Summer this sweet top! You can tell Summer loves it!!

Erika's baby shower!

Here I am with Summer, Erika and Jessica. Summer has 2 more admirers. Mom was at the shower and did a great job of sharing Summer! Jess had her a lot. Summer loved to snuggle into Jess. Summer can't wait to meet another new friend..and this one a boy!!

A cat nap in the middle of the shower!

Summer really enjoyed watching Erika open all those gift. I think she was getting some tips for Christmas time. I can only imagine the gifts she is going to get to "open."

I caught one of Summer not hiding in Jess' shirt!

Summer with Aunt Rita. Summer had the best time playing at Aunt Rita's. She got plenty of attention and got to spend time in a high chair while we ate. She was such a happy baby that my cousin Stephanie nicknamed her "Giggle Bot." Very sweet!

Mom was the super driver of the road trip. She drove both ways! Thanks Mom!

So happy to be out of that car seat!!

Hanging out with Aunt Rita and Buxton! Summer loved Buxton!

Summer's first time in a high chair at a restaurant. Cracker Barrel of course. Where else do you stop on a road trip?

Check out that tongue! Her Daddy taught her this and it is amusing to say the least. :)

Sound asleep with her friends!

Yup, Summer's foot is IN her mouth. She is so flexible!

I taught Mommy and Me again last week. It was so much fun! I love teachign it, Mom loves bringing Summer and Summer loves the music and other kids! I am excited for Ms. Nancy to come back so I can put on my Mommy hat again for Mommy and Me. We missed you!

Summer sits up and plays so much now. I can pretty much put her anywhere (for now, soon she will be on the move) and she will play with her toys. I ususualy put a boppy pillow behind her in case she falls back.
