Mommy and Me-"Ff" Day! 11/1/10

Summer loved this Mommy and Me! She got to dance to the Freeze song, march with a Flag, learn about Fire safety and explore a Fire engine!

"Ff" Day was fun!

Thanks Ms. Nancy and Mr. Jason the firefighter for coming in

Summer actually sat still for the beginning of this Mommy and Me. I had to get some pictures of her SITTING! Proof that it does happen!

We didn't sit for long. Soon it was time to dance to the Freeze song and march with our Flags!

March Ms. Nancy, March!

Engine 14 came to our Mommy and Me! Mr. Jason told us all about Fire Safety and then we got to see the fire engine.

While waiting for her turn to "drive" the fire engine Summer had a rest on a pumpkin!

Summer LOVED "driving" the fire engine. Can you tell?

Happy Birthday Daddy and A Spooky Kroger Visit!

Happy Halloween Birthday Daddy!

Tom had a great day with his family. It's always a busy day since it is Halloween but a very fun one!

Summer and I got him breakfast from Papa Jacks to start the day (after letting him sleep in). Daddy got a new toy that Summer loves just as much-an iPad. She loves Tom the cat app (imagine that). The rest of our day was filled with costume contests, trick-or-treating and passing out candy. We did go to dinner the night before and have another birthday celebration planned soon for Tom.

Summer and I had on pumpkin shirts on Halloween!

Summer, Emmy (the 9 year old I watch 2 days a week), Haley (Emmy's friend) and I all went to Kroger(grocery store) for a Spooktacular time. Summer stayed in her stroller for the visit and enjoyed watching everything. Kroger actually had a pretty scary haunted house in the back of the store (and we did the little kid version).

Emmy and Haley got to decorate cookies (Summer watched as she ate hers).

The girls got to go around collecting candy in the different departments. They also got to turkey bowl!

Face Painting by the Green Giant! Summer did not want anything to do with the Green Giant!

A fun adventure to Kroger!

Happy Halloween! 2010

Costume time! Summer got to wear her costume a lot this past week. We are lucky she loves it so much! We had a great Halloween. We celebrated Halloween and Daddy's birthday (more pictures from Tom's Halloween birthday to come).
This post is all about the COSTUME-a Pink Poodle that goes Meow Meow (that's what Summer says)!

Window fun with Daddy!

I was trying to get a picture of Daisy and Summer together. This was the best one!

We started our trick-or-treating by stopping by Summer's grandparents house. They had already given her treats earlier-Carpi Suns and Rice Krispie Treats! YUM! Plus this pink pumpkin that matched her costume.

Getting some candy! YUMMY! Summer really got into the trick-or-treating this year. We rode around on the golf cart and went to neighbors house that were our friends. Summer would hold her bucket and watch them put candy in. Some of our friends let Summer take some candy and she would grab a huge handful! I was surprised how much she got into it.

When we got home we passed out candy as a family together for a little while. Well Summer thought all the candy in our black cauldron was for her to move into her pink pumpkin bucket.

These are the 2 pieces of candy Summer got into. When it was time for bed I had to literally pry her fingers off her trick-or-treat bucket while she yelled "No, No, Mama" at me. She was one tired baby but loved every minute of this Halloween!

The Costume Contest at Reunion Hall
It was a little crazy (the judges showed up late and their were a lot more kids then expected) but it was all still fun!

We were trying to get 6 toddlers (18months-22 months) to take a picture together. We got one of them at the pumpkin patch last year but last year they would stay put.
Summer sat on this pumpkin the whole time.
Here is Summer-Pink Poodle and Addison-Ladybug

Carson-Conductor, Coleson-Golfer, Summer, Sophia-Pebbles and Lawson-Pirate

All six!

Summer continues to sit on the pumpkin! There's Coleson-you can see him a little better in this one. His golfer costume won the contest in the 0-2 age group!

Waiting for the judges!

Mommy and Me Halloween Party!
Summer had a great time in the costume parade, playing instruments, dancing, playing with a paper spider and eating all the yummy food! Thanks Ms. Nancy for all you do!

My Mom came to help Ms. Nancy on this busy day!

The happy spider!

Here's Mom reading a book to Addison and Summer as we help clean up and load up!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

More October Fun!

More October Fun........

On Saturday we had our annual Fall Festival here in the neighborhood! What a great event. There is so much for families to do. We had beautiful weather and it was a successful event!
Aunt Lis came to help with Summer since Tom had tennis, I was helping to run the event, Mom was running the Bake Sale and Dad was volunteering as well. Summer only wore her bow for a short time so here's one pic of her with it on!

Yes, this isn't my classiest picture but had to be put on here. I have been working on the Fall Festival for over a month and once it was going well I felt I had earned this beer! Of course I couldn't drink it all but it was amusing to have as I ran around organizing things. I am just glad it all went well and it is over! LOL :)

Summer was an expert this time as she rode the pony. She would smile and giggle!

Emmy is trying to show Summer how to be gentle. It didn't really work out and we quickly had to get Summer out of their to protect the bunnies. :)

She would grab and squeeze them while shouting "Meow Meow".

Here Summer is waiting for the balloon man to make her Meow Meow.

Mom, Aunt Lis, Summer with her Meow Meow and Gail at the bake sale.

Bounce House fun! Summer is just getting the whole jumping thing down and loved it in the bouncy house!

Week of Excellence at Gymnastix Training Center
Here is Chloe, Addison and Summer with their Mommy's. It's had to get these little ones to stand together!
Here's the girls again but Summer is being held by her teacher Ms. Lisa.

Summer got her certificate and walked across the "stage". She really love her gymnastics class and has started doing tumbles and jumping. Her favorite is still the bar! We are excited to start Session 2!

Summer and I had Noah over for a morning and we had to run an errand. I turned around and they both had books and were reading away. So sweet!

Noah reading!

Here Noah is helping Summer put the right shapes in. Noah is 2 1/2 and Summer was fascinated with all the things he could do.

Summer is watching some Sesame street. I don't even know how she got like that but she stayed there long enough for me to grab the camera!

I thought this one was super cute!
See you next week! There will be lots of Halloween costume pictures!
