Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

I have several posts from June to catch up on but thought I would sneak this one in first.

We had a great 4th with the neighborhood parade, staying inside and relaxing during the storms and rain during the day and then heading to a cook-out that evening to see fireworks! It was nice to have Tom around an extra day and super sweet to hear Summer saying "Happy 4th of July" and to see her waving her flag all day!

You can certainly tell I am pregnant in this picture-26 weeks and counting!

Getting ready to be in the golf cart parade around the neighborhood!

The Zawacki Family on their golf cart!

Summer in MY headband. That's right. She never wants to wear a headband but for some reason my expensive Polo one was calling her name and it's the only thing she wanted in her hair. I ended up wearing her headband from the dollar bins at Target. It was a cute one but I figured she wouldn't wear it so it was the right price! :)

More parade pics! My parents got to lead the parade since they were Neighbors of the Year!

Summer saying "Happy 4th of July" and waving her flag! She did a good job of waving it the whole time we went around the neighborhood in the parade.

Our decorated golf cart! Summer kept saying, "golf cart pretty, Mama".

An all American picture! What else would you eat on the 4th? Last year on 4th of July Summer tried watermelon for the first time and she has loved it ever since.

Watching some fireworks in the distance on Daddy's shoulders.

Here I am pointing out the fireworks going off in the street (we were a safe distance).

Below are 4th of July pictures of Summer and the Sawyer sisters. Leah and Sadie were here to visit right before the 4th of July. It's become a yearly tradition to get 4th of July pictures of the 3 girls! They were super cooperative this year!

This was my idea! I spray painted the letters for the girls to hold. It couldn't have turned out better! "USA"

A Very Special Father's Day Weekend!

June 16th-19th
Summer had a very special Father's Day weekend with her Daddy, Pops, Grandpa Max in from Indiana and GUJ (Great Uncle Jerry) in from North Carolina! Now I know there were pictures of GUJ and GAB (Great Aunt Beth) taken but they must not have been with my camera. I don't always seem to have it as handy as I normally would. Something about being pregnant in the summertime with a 2 yr old just does it to you! :)
We had a wonderful visit with Grandpa Max, Grandma Susie, GAB and GUJ and we are looking forward to seeing them again at the end of July!

I love this picture! So glad my camera was handy. Summer was having a great time throwing rocks and discussing life (Mickey Mouse, Thomas the train, Daisy etc) with her Daddy and Grandpa Max.

Both of Summer's Grandma's were able to take her to Gymboree while her Mama got to run some errands!

Grandpa Max, Mommy, Summer, Daddy and Grandma Susie

Aunt Lis had just had her hair cut and straightened! Pretty Iss!

Having fun with Daddy with the I Pad.

Being silly with Pops.

Horsey ride on Daddy!

Helping Daddy open one of his Father's Day presents!

Daddy with his visor!

Grandpa Max shows off his visor and his artwork from Summer!

Summer takes a picture of me taking her picture and then turns around and does the same thing with Pops (also in his visor).......

June 1st-15th

The First Half of June

So I am doing well on catching up on the blog! I've still been tired and the heat is killer but Summer and I are having fun. Summer is definitely bringing out her 2 year old self here and there but that's okay. She is a talker so I am working on her to use her words rather then fuss. She loves to sing and count. I love it when she says "I lovey you" to me or anyone for that matter. Summer has a mind of her own. She likes her hair in a pony tail like Mommy's and doesn't like bows. She wants options for her outfits and likes to decide what she is going to eat. It's all a matter of patience at times but worth it to watch her build her independence. It's hard to believe that in less than 4 months we will have a little itty baby around! Summer will happily tell you she is going to be "A big sister" and have a "baby brother" so will see how happy she remains come October. I don't think she has any clue! :)

Enjoy our first half of June!

Muffins with Mom

Summer had brownies instead at Muffins with Mom. They were just in her reach and bite size!

At Muffins with Mom we also did a craft for the Dads for Father's Day. Here is Summer decorating 3 visors for the special guys in her life-Daddy, Pops and Grandpa Max!

Summer had a run in with our couch and got boo boo almost like a rug burn on her cheek. Poor thing!

Here we are at Stevie B's a pizza/arcade place. We got a tour and got to make pizzas. Yum!

Summer and her friend Addison S. had fun putting together the pizza and eating the peperoni's.

Everyone got a hat and a kids cup while we waited for the pizza to cook (I found out that our pizzas got replaced by new ones in the oven :)).

6/11/11

23 weeks

Summer's second cousin, Parker, had an Elmo 2nd birthday party. Here are Parker and Summer with Parker's Grandma Brenda.

Mom, my cousin Mason and Melissa.

A highlight of the party was feeding the chickens. My cousin Mason has 5 chickens in a chicken coop in his backyard and Summer loved feeding them!

Happy Birthday Parker! Thanks for having us over!

End of May!

End of May!
With all my catching up with the "found pictures" I got behind on May. Here are the pictures from our end of May adventures!
Next up will be the first half of June!
It's hard to believe it isn't officially summer yet! It seems like we should be half way through it at this point. It might just be a long one, especially with being pregnant! :)
Happy viewing!

Summer's new do! I am able to pull her hair up in a ponytail now and she loves it! She doesn't always let me put a bow in but either way it's cute. Tom thinks she looks like at "Who" from Dr. Seuss! So sweet!

From May 28th- 21 weeks!

Happy Birthday to me!
Summer can sing the Birthday song now and it's the best when she is singing it for you!

Tom was traveling on my birthday (but don't worry he did a birthday cook out for me with the family 2 days before and a fun night out the night before) so I had a nice time the night of my birthday with my parents and Summer.

I took this one of the 2 of us. Summer is sitting on the back of the golf cart and there's a glimpse of my new car in the back.

I was in a Member-Guest Tennis tournament in May and Summer and Tom game to watch the championship match (that's me on the court behind Summer in case you can't tell). I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time and we won!

Gymnastics Fun!

The last Mommy and Me of the year! Summer enjoys it so much and I know she will miss it during the summer break!

To the left of Summer is her square on the Mommy and Me quilt.
