My Mothers Of Pre Schoolers group had a play date at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center this summer. We had a blast! The pools were the right size for our kids and so were all the splash activities. Summer and Tucker loved it!

Back in the very beginning of June we went to Indiana for a wedding! My parents have been trying to go visit for a while so they came and stayed with Tom’s parents. We stayed with Tom’s brother, Joe. It was nice to have my parents there for several reasons. They were able to watch the 3 kids-Summer, Tucker and their cousin Hadley while we all went to the wedding, they were able to visit with everyone and when Tom had to fly out for work we were able to follow each other home. It all worked out!
We had a great visit seeing the Indiana Family! As usual I just love seeing Summer and Hadley together. Summer had just turned 4 and Hadley is 6. They really are the best of friends and pick right up where they left off. I love that so much!

On of the days of our visit we headed to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo! It really is a great zoo and we had perfect weather for it. There had been some storms with a lot of rain so the Zoo had actually been flooded a couple days before we went. Tucker decided it was perfect napping weather!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Tucker David!
It’s hard to believe you are turning 2 and in a couple months will be a big brother! You have changed and grown so much this past year. From a smiley baby to a happy active boy! We love you sooooo much!
You are one busy boy! No matter what you are doing…climbing, running, saying “no”….whatever you are doing you do it with a big smile on your face. You are just a happy boy.
Every day you learn at least one new word. Summer like to see what new word you are going to say for the day. You adore your big sister and the 2 of you have really started playing together, which just melts my heart. Don’t get me wrong you have your sibling moments…not sharing (especially food) and pulling her hair but overall the two of you are best buddies.
You started walking right before you turned one and haven’t looked back. You may have actually just started off running. It’s hard to get you to slow down.
You pretty much eat anything and love fruit the most. You do not and never have liked eggs.
You are set in your routines and even if you don’t have the words you find a way to communicate them.
Story time is your quiet time and you love to read in your rocking chair. Your 3 favorite books are “Abbey’s Shapes”, “Peek A Baby” and “Touch and Feel-Town”.
You love to talk on the phone and do Face time. You tell Daddy you love him by singing “Da Da Da.”
You started school this year and seem to really like it. You go one day a week and always say “school-play”.
Your favorite toys include trucks, playing in the kitchen and pretty much anything Summer is doing…coloring, dolls, dress up….Daddy really wants more boy toys around here.
I know I am forgetting something or lots of somethings but I just want you to know how much we love you and how much you brighten our lives each day. Happy Happy Birthday Tucker David Zimmerman!

Summer and I worked on some birthday morning surprises for you-some streamers on your door and some gifts for the morning. Summer picked out your gift, wrapped it and made you a special card.
We will also be celebrating your birthday with both sets of grandparents and more presents (and cake too) later in the day! And you will have a little treat at school the next day!
