A Visit to Indiana-July 22nd-25th!

Indiana Road Trip!
Tom, Summer and I took off to Indiana last Thursday to visit with family. Susie and Max are Tom's parents and live in Fort Wayne, IN. Visiting along with us were Susie's siblings. Aunt Beth, Susie's sister (also known as GAB) was visiting from North Carolina and Uncle Bob (Susie's brother) along with his 2 sons, Brooks and Cal were visiting from California. Also in Indiana were Susie's cousin Ruth with her 2 kids, Olivia and Reed. While there we were also able to spend time with Tom's brother Joe, his wife Kelly and Summer's cousins Greg and Hadley. Whew! Did you get all that? It was a special time to get to be together with so much family and it was well worth the 10 hour drive to get there and back!
While there we went swimming, played games, went to a minor league baseball game, went bowling and spent wonderful quality time with each other.
There are more photos to come (family shots on other cameras) but this is a great sampling of our fun trip to Indiana. It was great seeing everyone! Come visit us anytime in Georgia!

Spending some special time with Grandma by the pool!

What's in my bag Mommy? I am ready to go!!

This is often how I found Summer when I looked back to talk with her or see how she was doing. Just so relaxed with her food kicked up on her sippy cup!

Here's the "kids" playing cards. From center, clockwise-Reed, Greg, Max, Olivia, Cal and Brooks.

Greg at the Bowling Alley.

Summer with Cal. Cal was Summer's friend the whole time we were in Indiana. He would carry her around and play with her. So sweet!

Daddy and a serious Summer!

Uncle Bob, Aunt Beth and Ruth

Summer needed a break at the bowling alley so Cal took her for a ride in her stroller.

Mommy is so funny! :)

Hadley and Summer
So sweet!

Here I am with my girls! Love them both so much. Summer is almost 15 months and Hadley is about 3 1/2 years old.

Goodbye Hugs

Forever friends!

This is the BEST juice box. Summer drank in almost one gulp! She was a good little traveler!

Leah Comes to GA For a Week! 6/28-7/4

June 28th-July 4th

When Summer and I came back from Maryland we brought Leah, my five year old goddaughter, with us. Leah stayed with Tom, Summer and I for a week and boy were we busy! Summer loved having a playmate and I enjoyed spoiling my goddaughter for a week (only fair since she lives in MD and I don't get to see her all the time)! We all miss her around here, especially Summer. After Leah left Summer would check Leah's room and search the house for her. So sweet!

Enjoy these happy girls and their smiles!

Big smiles once we landed in GA. We had a DVD mishap, one potty break and one wiggly baby but for the most part the flight was uneventful. The girls were really good!

And off the plane and to the pool! We went to the pool several times while Leah was visiting. She really likes our slide and the ice cream from the snack stand!

Here the girls are having a tea party at the coffee table!

On Wednesday that week we ventured to Lake Lanier Islands with my parents. We had a great time. Summer loved the lake with the beach and the little tots area and Leah and I loved all the slides. We rode almost all of them twice! Aunt Jen slept well this night! :)

Here's the little kids area. Very sweet and a perfect size for the little ones.

Summer liked to sit in the middle of the inner tube on the beach!

Leah caught a fish in the lake!!

Our beach area. We got their early enough to get some chairs under one of these big umbrella's. It was an overcast day so it wasn't too crowed. It was perfect!

Leah coming down one of the slides!

We really had a great day at Lake Lanier Islands. The beach, the lake, the wave pool, kiddie area and slides are all so much fun for "kids" of all ages. On Wednesdays if you have a Chick-fil-a coupon is it buy one get one free day and you can bring in food (just not in a cooler).

On Thursday we did a mall day. I had 4th of July pictures made of the girls and then they got to go on the carousel, on the train and play in the play area. Leah also got to make a Build-A-Bear stuffed dog. I told her she should name it after something in GA to remind her of her trip. Well she did! She named her "Waterpark Fun Dog" after Lake Lanier Islands. :) So cute!

Leah and Waterpark Fun Dog are tired from out busy day!

So was Summer!

The next day Leah and I went to see "Toy Story Three" at the mall. Waterpark Fun Dog also got some new shoes and Leah got to run around in the water fountain.

One morning I took the girls to Waffle House for breakfast. I didn't look at the pictures after I took them so they both look like they slept through breakfast! :)

Summer loved the eggs and the waffle. I think she ate more then Leah or I. The little piglet!

I took to Summer and Leah to a new park we hadn't been to before. It was really nice and the three of us had a good time!

We ran an errand to Home Depot and Summer and Leah got to drive the Racecart!

One of my favorite pictures of Leah!

I put out the sprinkler for the girls to run in. Summer wasn't too sure about it so Leah is trying to tell her it is okay. Summer just ended up liking the bucket of water instead!

Time to decorate the golf cart for the 4th of July Parade. Leah (along with her family) was with us last year for the parade and just couldn't wait this year to decorate the golf cart again!

The waffle house hat is found! Summer is wondering if Leah is really going to drive her? Hmmm?
So sweet!

Pops, Mom-Mom and Aunt Lis join Summer, Leah and I for the golf cart parade. Tom was directing traffic and taking pictures for me!

Summer's turn to drive!

Summer loves dogs. . . especailly big sweet ones like Bailey who let Summer sit on them!

Summer likes another fruit....watermelon!

Leah had fun with the sparklers!

Summer slept through the fireworks, Leah put her hands in her ears but could see how great they were! Thanks Clixby's for having us over!
Happy 4th of July!
What a fun week with Leah! Summer sure has missed her friend. She looks for Leah around the house and points to the room that Leah slept in!
