Maryland Trip-Ocean City and More! 6/23-6/27

Maryland here we come!

Summer and I took a trip to Maryland to go to Ocean City and to visit with family and friends. We had an amazing time. Summer is a good little traveler and she is truly her Mommy's baby...she LOVES the beach!!!!! For those of you who don't know I spent 3 fun summer's living in Ocean City, MD and it meant so much to get to take my sweet girl there.

Thanks so much to my friend Colleen's parents for letting us stay at their beach house. Summer and I went there with Colleen and her 2 girls Leah (my goddaughter, 5 years old) and Sadie (20 months old). We had such a wonderful time!

Summer and I were also able to see other friends and family while in MD. We miss all of you so much and thanks for taking the time to see us. Hope to see you soon (you are welcome to come to GA anytime)!

We are as rich as rich can be when measured in laughter, friends and family!

Here is Summer at the airport with her airplane stuffed animal her Aunt Lis got her! We are getting ready to fly from Georgia to Maryland!

After Summer and I landed Colleen, Leah and Sadie picked us up and we headed on the roughly 3 hour drive (with stops) to Ocean City, MD. The girls needed to get some of their energy out so we headed straight to the pool. Here's Leah and Summer!

The next day the girls woke up very early (to the joy of their Mommies-really 5:30 is TOO early). Once we were ready we headed to the beach! Here's Summer's foot and footprints. In Ocean City they say, "Only leave your Footprints."

Happiness is....a day at the beach, bright from sunshine and warm from love.

Our set up! Colleen had a baby pool which Summer loved. She would take the toys in and out and fill it up with sand.

Summer loves chairs. Luckily Leah was willing to share this chair with her.

The girls had matching dresses for the beach. So sweet!

We went out to dinner at Dead Freddies. We met up with Erika, Bill and their sweet baby Mason. Here he is looking at the crazy woman with the camera! I am sure that is how he remembers me. :)

Dead Freddies is very kid friendly. They give all the kid foam swords and have a little play area outside. It is a fun atmosphere and we all had a great time. I really loved getting to see Erika and Bill and meet Mason!

Summer hasn't noticed yet that I am holding Mason.

Hmmm...that's my Mommy!

Pirate Leah!

Sadie like the slide!

Summer liked running around with the big kids!

Back to the beach!

My friend Gina joined us at the beach this day. Here Summer is with her baby, Hailey (20 months old).

We were trying to get a picture of the 3 girls in their Ocean City hats but they were too busy to sit still! :)

The best one!

Summer loved the water and wasn't afraid of the waves at all!

Sadie, a happy girl after her nap!

Summer takes a nap on the beach. Oh the stress of it all. So much to do, so little time.

Welcome to the Ocean City Boardwalk!

Here are the girls ready to go!

Leah loved her Cotton Candy. Can you tell?

Leah rode on some rides.

Waiting for the tram to show up for our ride.

Yes, I was on this trip! Here I am with Leah and Summer.

This is the tram that you can ride up and down the boardwalk. I had the brillant idea of riding it round trip at 6:30 at night with a 13 month old, 20 month old and 5 year old. Colleen and I survied the 2 hour ride with many laughs and snacks for the girls!

Summer on the tram!

We got to have some crabs while in OC!
I LOVE Maryland crabs so this was a real treat.

After leaving Ocean City we headed to the Sawyer house. Here Sadie is enjoying floating in the neighborhood pool.

Summer had a great time at the pool as well. She really liked the toys!

One morning Summer and Sadie played in their swim diapers. Summer was very proud to have climbed up the slide by herself!

Summer found another chair to sit in....Elmo!

Summer and I organized a lunch at a local restaurant to see more friends and family!

Jessica-who was very pregnant at the time. She just had Aubrey Gale on Friday, July 9th! Congrats to the Cunningham Family!
And Erika-without Mason, but we understand!
