Family Reunion Part 1-Friday and Saturday

Labor Day Weekend-A Reunion in Reunion
Part 1
What a fun busy weekend! We had Family Reunion here in GA for my Mom's side of the family. We had family come in from all around the country- South Carolina, Maryland, Florida, California, and New Hampshire. It was great to all be together again and have 6 of the second cousins together.
Friday night Tom, Summer and I hosted a welcome BBQ at our house. Not everyone was in yet and for some reason I didn't take a lot of photos but I sure made up for that the rest of the weekend.
Thanks for coming everyone! We had a great time!

Summer is all ready to be the perfect hostess (by sharing her toys).

Monthly Pictures and Mommy and Me

Monthly Pictures!

So some of you have asked if I had stopped doing monthly professional pictures and I have to admit I haven't. I have found an excuse-reason really- every month to get them done. June, July, August and September were all taken at Picture People. I had some really good coupons so it just worked out that way.

June-13 months old
I decided we needed pictures for Daddy for Father's Day for his office.

July-14 months old
4th of July pictures of course! Plus Leah was visiting from MD.

August-15 month photos
15 months is a milestone and Summer and Aunt Lis needed some pictures together.

September-16 months
I earned a free frame Trilogy for coming in so much the past several months!

Here they are:

June
Summer in her tennis gear. Da Da's favorite!

A picture of Summer and I in coordinating dresses in a coordinating frame! :)
Da Da got a nice wood frame of us for his office!

July
4th of July!

4th of July picture with Leah!

August
This frame actually has 3 month photos above these 2 15 month photos. She was 3 months in August '09 so it is a nice comparison.
She is with her Aunt Lis on the right.

September
My FREE framed trilogy!
And as everyone asks-no she wasn't hold the frame fully by herself but was helping a lot. They took out my fingers from the top on one side.

As for October we have pumpkin patch pictures lined up and in November family Christmas pictures and 18 month photos! So more to come! Don't you worry!! :)

Mommy and Me:
Sorry I didn't crop this one! Summer just loves Mommy and Me. This week we did the Letter Bb. We did songs with balls and bears!

Summer loved the balls. It was organized chaos as the kids ran around dancing with the balls.

Summer loved the bear song. She found 2 bears that she didn't want to give up. She kept hugging them and running away from me when I tried to get a picture. BUSY BUSY!

This is from last week at Mommy and Me. Aa day!

Which do I choose? How many can I hold at once? What's sharing? :)

Snack and craft time!

Time to go Mommy! I am ready for my nap (yeah right-more like Mommy is ready for a nap after chasing her around the whole time)!

PS. I promise one of these days I will update with the family reunion pictures!

Gymnastics and The Zoo! September 1st

September 1st!
Summer turned 16 months last week and we did some fun things! She had her first official gymnastics class and thanks to Aunt Lis, our own personal photographer, we got some great pictures.
After Gymnastics we went to the Atlanta Zoo with Summer's grandparents and Aunt Lis!
A great day!
Still can't believe how time is flying. Summer is learning new skills and new words all the time. What a FUN age!

Coming out of the tunnel!

Going into the tunnel!

Summer is getting better and better at the balance beam. This week (9/8) she only needed one my hands for one of them and then was able to do one all by herself!

Swinging on the bar! She got more daring this week when the bar was higher and would really swing back and forth without Mommy's help!

All the little ones love the trampoline. Summer loves to run as fast as she can down it and then jump into the foam pit!

Reading a book about the zoo with Aunt Lis before we went to the zoo.

Welcome to the Atlanta Zoo! Aunt Lis is picking her head out of the elephant face.

Summer spotted Aunt Lis!

The sweet Panda Bear!

Summer could see the panda and kept calling it a "Meow Meow." I guess the panda did look like a slightly bigger version of our black and white cat Alexander!

The fun loving swimming otters!

Let me look at the map and let you know where we are going next!

Hey there's my Mommy!

This monkey was just at Summer's height and she loved it. She giggled and pointed and tried to touch him. It was really sweet!

Choo-Choo train time!

The petting zoo was also a big hit! Summer just ran around like she owned the place. Luckily it wasn't crowded at all that day at the zoo so she had full rein of the place. The weather was also really good. It's been so hot and humid but finally it is starting to cool down a bit!

Let me just have a rest for a second!

At first the pigs startled Summer. They would snort and she would run. They didn't quite sound like the "oink oink" Mommy makes for the pig sound.

Summer and I as the Mommy Kangaroo and her Joey!

Our last animal-a kangaroo! What a fun day at Zoo Atlanta!
See you next time animals!
