Daisy's Christmas Letter 2010

Merry Christmas from Daisy! Here's her Christmas letter for you! Daisy, our beagle, and our Tuxedo cat, Alexander work together to do our Christmas letter every year. Daisy tells Alexander what to type! Enjoy!

Daisy

Hi Y'all,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Here is a quick update to let you know about everything that we have been doing this year. Actually, I have spent most of my time with Alexander (the cat) laying around and running from Summer, but Mom, Dad, and Summer have been on the go.

My Dad started his new job with Boral at the very end of 2009 and has had a very busy year. He really seems to enjoy his job and is very excited about his future with the company and the product that he is helping to launch!

His job took him to Las Vegas last January and Mom got to go with him. Summer and I stayed with our Grandparents in Georgia and it was the first long trip they took without Summer; however they have been traveling without me for years. They also went to Paris in May for the French Open. They really enjoyed the trip and got to watch some great tennis including: Roger Federer, John McEnroe and the Williams sisters. They also visited Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, and at some really yummy food. They didn't bring me any food, but everyday they got baguettes and put them in my Dad's backpack to snack on. I did get to smell his backpack (y'all know how beagles have a great nose) when they got home and his backpack smelled exquisite.

We have been very fortunate to have my Mom stay home with Me, Alexander and Summer. She really seems to enjoy spending time with us and watching Summer grow. Even though Mom has been staying home she has been very busy. She ran two 1/2 marathons this year, taken countless photos of Summer, played a lot of tennis, been very active in neighborhood activities and on the go with Summer all the time (Summer has lots of activities that Mom takes her to). Summer is like my Mom's "social sidekick." Mom also helped organize and host a family Reunion for her side of the family, that took place here in Georgia, and helped make sure Mom, Dad and Summer made a trip to Indiana to see Dad's family. She is so good to my Dad.

Since Summer came a long, life for Alexander and me had been pretty good that is until April of this year...Summer learned to walk. Ever since, she thinks we are her personal entertainment. She clearly thinks my tail is a leash and feels compelled to grab my "leash" and take me for a walk, not cool. Sometimes she will take my bone away from me, or steal Alexander's food and give it to me. I know she loves us, when she is running errands with Mom and Dad, she will will say "Daisy and Meow Meow" when she is ready to go home. I do think she has a great sense of fashion as she sure does love her shoes and will pat her head and say "bow" when she wants to accessorize. I can tell she is learning more and more each day. I love seeing how happy she makes my parents.

It has definitely been a busy year, and it doesn't look like 2011 is going to slow down either. Mom and Dad are going on a cruise, both are running a half marathon in March, and Dad is going to ride his bike across Iowa later in the year.

Y'all be sure to have a Merry Christmas and Happy 2011!

Love,

Me (Daisy), Alexander, Jen, Tom, and Summer

Christmas Tractor Photos (#3)

The final round of pictures from our November photo shoot...the Tractor shots! Summer just loved sitting on and being around the tractor. We were just going to do one outfit on it but when we went back outside she went running right to it so we ended up with 2 different sets of tractor pictures! "Vroom Vroom" is what she said!

December Catch Up! 12/1-12/17

Busy, busy, busy...that's what we have been around here. These are pictures from the past couple of weeks of all the fun things Summer has been doing.
As I have said in the past, "We might not have it all together but together we have it all."
Happy Viewing!
:)

Summer woke up early from her nap. Her sixth sense must of kicked in because I was in the middle of making cookies for a cookie exchange I was going to. Yes, I made mint chocolate chip cookies from scratch and they were yummy! Summer sat on the counter and "helped" while I finished up. She enjoyed the beater! Can you tell?

Summer pointing to Aunt Lis. She often points to everyone and names them. She will then point to herself and say "Baby" with a Southern accent. Very amusing!

Summer finished Session 2 of Gymnastics. This time she got a ribbon!

Summer with her friends Addison and Chloe (several of her other classmates were absent this day).

Summer decided she wanted to wear my cozy socks. They didn't look too bad! Almost boot like on her. Cute!

Summer had her first paid job! She got to be a fit model for Carter's downtown. She picked out this sweet Carter's outfit to wear there. She had a great time trying on outfits. She even got to walk around on a conference room table. So far she hasn't tried walking on our tables! :)

She's looking at the Meow Meow on her shirt!

Santa came to Mommy and Me! Can you guess who Santa might be?
(Shhhh... don't tell Summer but it was her Pops). This was as close as she would get to him. There weren't actually any tears from the kids. Now some did hide....

Here's sweet Addison hiding under the table when Santa was there!

Summer's friend Addison has learned to say, "Jen" and Summer has learned to say, "Addy." Very sweet!

Summer and Reid dancing away!

Ready to head out in the cold!

Summer, my little elf, is helping to rehang some Christmas ornaments. She doesn't seem to touch any other tree except ours. I think it is because she saw me decorate it and has helped put some back. Oh well! They are only 19 months once!

It's hard to tell but if you look closely you can see the snow flurries outside. Summer was really interested in the white stuff falling from the sky. Note her snowman dress!

Yes, Summer has 7 bows in her hair. When Daddy got her up from her nap Summer kept saying, "bow, bow, bow." Well she must of said it 7 times because they came downstairs Summer had 7 bows on! Giggle! Giggle!

Mommy and Me time!

Summer went to Carson's 2nd Birthday at Gymboree. Of course it was impossible to get a picture of the 2 of them together but here is the Birthday Boy!

Here's Summer having a great time! There's Dada behind her!

Here Summer only has on 3 bows. She actually wanted them before her nap and went right down once they were in.

Still a little sleepy from her nap!

Christmas Photo Shoot (#1)

Christmas sneak peek!
We had lots of wonderful photos taken for Summer's 18 month/Christmas picture photo shoot in November. I only had 2 spots on my Christmas card this year (very hard) and these, although I LOVE them, didn't make it so here they are! I will have more posts of Christmas pictures once I know all those cards have arrived! Plus I will have Daisy's Christmas Letter on here for you as well. The countdown is on! Less then 10 days to Christmas!!! Summer and I are looking forward to Tom being home and spending time with family!

A visit with Santa!

Summer has been a really good girl this past year and couldn't wait to tell Santa as long as she didn't have to sit on his lap. Our neighborhood has a great Santa that comes every year. You have a timed session and it's just you and Santa. No lines and no pressure. Our friend Brett takes the pictures and he does a great job.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
PS. Wait until you see the last 2....you will see what happens when we put Summer on Santa's lap! Sorry Summer I just have to have a picture every year!

And it starts.....

Hat goes flying and we pulled her off of Santa's lap.
