March 2011 and April 2011-Other Fun Times!

March and April 2011

There were so many fun special times the past 2 months that I missed some other pictures for the blog! I also don't have a picture to put on the blog yet but Tom and I along with some friends ran a 1/2 marathon. It was Tom's first and I am very proud of him. His time was good. Mine was no personal record but I was 11 weeks pregnant at the time and I am glad I finished without getting sick or stopping to go to the bathroom! LOL I was tired but I finished.

Summer's Birthday is coming soon. A whole year has gone by! Thanks for being loyal blog followers. You know I will have lots of Birthday pics coming!

A shirt from our Maryland trip!

Watercolor painting on a warm spring day with Emmy!

Summer had some bubbles in her eggs and discovered on this car ride how to get them open. A bubble came floating by me up front as I was driving. My camera was handy so at the next red light I snapped some pictures. Of course I didn't get any of her actual bubbles but they are cute just the same!

I didn't know that Summer would get a certificate at the end of her first swim lesson session so we took this when we got home. You can tell she has swim hair! :)

We have had such beautiful weather. It's been mid 70's-mid 80's for a while now. Sometimes I think it is summer time already. We are ready for the pool to open!

Tom got to take Summer to "Mommy and Me" last week while I went to my 16 week appointment for Lil' Pumpkin. They had a great time and Dada loved seeing what we do every week!

It was Uu day! Of course I have the cutest umbrella at home for Summer and didn't send it with Tom and Summer-prego brain!

16 weeks!

Lil' Pumpkin or Mini Z as Tom sometimes calls the baby is the size of an avocado. I compared pictures and this is how I looked at 18 or 19 weeks with Summer. Oh well! I am feeling better and love being pregnant. At my Dr's appointment I heard the heartbeat- 158 bpm and all is looking good! On May 23rd we will find out if Summer is going to have a baby sister or baby brother! I can't wait! It's a day before my birthday so it will be like an early birthday present!

Trying a new hairdo and Summer climbed up the bar chair on her own!

Back in March Summer got a medal for finishing another session of Gymnastics! She loves it!

This was the best picture of all these little ones together with
their medals! :)

Easter Fun! April 2011

Easter Fun!

Summer got to participate in 2 Easter Egg Hunts this year! She really got into them and understood that there are goodies inside the eggs!

"Mommy and Me" Easter celebration! Here Summer is doing the bunny hop with some ears!

Summer and her friend Addison!

Egg hunt time!

Wow! Look at these eggs!

This was the CUTEST treat a Mom made for our Mommy and Me snack. It is a Rice Krispie Treat nest with jelly bean eggs and a Peep on top!

The discovery that there are goodies inside the eggs!

Our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt!

Ms. Joanne dresses up as the Easter Bunny every year. This year she added some fun sunglasses!

Summer decided to run around the eggs (so well hidden) before the Egg Hunt started!

As she collected her eggs Summer was tried to open them to see what was inside!

A basket full of eggs!

There were also bunnies at the Egg Hunt. Summer loved them and was very gentle this year!

Hugs for the bunny!

Antique Photo Shoot! (3/26/11)

Antique Photo Shoot!

These photos were taken the end of March (close to Summer being 23 months old). I used a couple of them on her Easter card so I have been holding off on putting them on the blog. I also haven't been feel great. Lil Bit-who is almost 2 and Lil Pumpkin-15 weeks and growing inside of me are wearing me out but you know I wouldn't have it any other way. I just had a scrapbooking weekend and now am busy finishing the final details on Summer's 2nd Birthday! Always so busy! :)

My MOPS group (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) did a photo fundraiser and these are the pictures. I am very happy with how they turned out!

Enjoy!

ROAD Trip to Maryland! March 21st-25th

Road Trip To MD!

Tom, Summer and I took a trip to Maryland in March. Tom travels to MD often and he knew he would be there all week so Summer and I tagged along. Summer was a good little traveler and had a fun week of playing with friends and second cousins!

Monday was a travel day so we will start with our Tuesday adventures!
Tuesday-Port Discovery and the Inner Harbor with Jessica, her little one Aubrey-8 months old, and Erika and Mason-15 months old! Summer was very excited to meet Aubrey (as was I) and to see May May again!
Here are the 3 of them together! Aubrey, Summer and Mason! I have about 10 or more of this shot and this is the best one of them all looking forward! :)

Mason and Summer are using the cash registers in the "grocery store" at Port Discovery! Jess and Aubs!
Jessica and I both had VW bugs before babies so it's only fitting we would get pics of our girls in there (and May May too)!

Summer loved "driving" the bug!

So did Mason! Not often they get to roam around in a car!

Summer loved the buzzing bees in the toddler room!

Mason loved the fish!

Aubs loved the rolling toys!

Sand time!

Another attempt at getting a picture of the 3 of them. :) Much better when they are strapped in!

We decided to eat at "Dick's Last Resort." I don't think we knew what we were getting into. This is one of those places where they are purposely rude to you. I was a little mortified and I think Jess and Erika were ready to kick some you know what. LOL However, I figured out they were supposed to be doing that and it sure didn't matter if the kids made a mess since they threw straws and napkins at you anyways! :)

You can't even see the extent of the mess. We were the only lucky ones in the restaurant who didn't have to wear rude hats. The babies saved us.

Summer found these crab glasses at a store and before I knew it she was wearing them. Of course I had to get them for her!

We found a grassy area to let the kids get out of their strollers. Summer enjoyed smelling the flowers!

Run Summer! Run May May!

Summer took a break and sat down with Aubrey!

We sure had a great time with Jessica, Aubrey, Erika and Mason. Thanks for spending the day with Summer and I! Hope to see you soon (like in August for your girls with babies trip...just a reminder). :)

Now on to Tuesday night....
Tuesday evening Tom joined Summer and I and we went to my Aunt Rita's and Uncle Steve's for dinner. Ironically my cousin Mason and his family, Holly, Roman and Parker, were visiting Aunt Rita from South Carolina so we got to see them as well.

Here I am reading a book to Summer and Parker.

Tom gets some cuddles from the girls!

Ring Around the Rosy time! Boy did Summer, Roman and Parker LOVE playing Ring Around the Rosy! They did it over and over again. Most of the time they would fall down before we even said to!

We had a short but sweet visit with the Ailstocks and hope to see them all again soon!

Wednesday.....
On Wednesday Summer and slept in and relaxed at the hotel before heading to Erika's for lunch. Summer was excited to see May May again and to get to play with his toys. After lunch Summer and I headed to Aunt Paula's for the afternoon and dinner.

At Aunt Paula's we got to see my cousin Sarah, Jason and their 2 girls Alexis (5) and Maddy (2). Summer had a great time playing with the girls and we had a really nice visit. My cousins Mike and Nate were there, as well as Pap (Uncle Russel's father).

Summer and Aunt Paula are having fun!

Maddy and Summer-so sweet!

I love seeing Summer with all of her second cousins. It was hard to leave that night. You all need to come to GA again sometime soon!

Thursday....
Janna took the day off and came from DC to Baltimore for the day! We had a yummy lunch at the Inner Harbor and then spent the rest of the day catching up. It was a wonderful visit.

Wednesday evening Tom, Summer, Janna and I met up with more friends! It really was just so great to see everyone. I miss all my Maryland friends and family so much. This trip meant so much to me. It was also so much fun to tell everyone in person that I am pregnant with baby #2!

Dinner was at the Cheesecake Factory!

The Sawyer Family came to meet us. Jason, Colleen, Leah (6) and Sadie (2). Leah and Sadie are pictured with Summer above!

Candice and her oh so cute Michaela (17 months) were also able to come to dinner. Michaela is such a doll and it was great to see Can again.

Janna and Alyssa

Alyssa is also pregnant (due about 1 1/2 weeks before me) so it was fun to catch up in person and compare pregnancies. Congrats again!

Jason and Colleen

Summer playing with ice. Always a great back up toy when needed. :)

Sadie showing me her "mean" face. I just love it! She is so full of personality!

Thanks again to everyone for meeting up with us in Baltimore. This whole trip was short but sweet but I am so glad I got to see everyone!!!! :)

Friday......
Our happy little traveler. We left super early on Friday so she still has her PJ's on!
