Road Trip To MD!
Tom, Summer and I took a trip to Maryland in March. Tom travels to MD often and he knew he would be there all week so Summer and I tagged along. Summer was a good little traveler and had a fun week of playing with friends and second cousins!
Monday was a travel day so we will start with our Tuesday adventures!
Tuesday-Port Discovery and the Inner Harbor with Jessica, her little one Aubrey-8 months old, and Erika and Mason-15 months old! Summer was very excited to meet Aubrey (as was I) and to see May May again! Here are the 3 of them together! Aubrey, Summer and Mason! I have about 10 or more of this shot and this is the best one of them all looking forward! :)
Mason and Summer are using the cash registers in the "grocery store" at Port Discovery! Jess and Aubs!
Jessica and I both had VW bugs before babies so it's only fitting we would get pics of our girls in there (and May May too)!
We decided to eat at "Dick's Last Resort." I don't think we knew what we were getting into. This is one of those places where they are purposely rude to you. I was a little mortified and I think Jess and Erika were ready to kick some you know what. LOL However, I figured out they were supposed to be doing that and it sure didn't matter if the kids made a mess since they threw straws and napkins at you anyways! :)
You can't even see the extent of the mess. We were the only lucky ones in the restaurant who didn't have to wear rude hats. The babies saved us.
Summer found these crab glasses at a store and before I knew it she was wearing them. Of course I had to get them for her!
We found a grassy area to let the kids get out of their strollers. Summer enjoyed smelling the flowers!
We sure had a great time with Jessica, Aubrey, Erika and Mason. Thanks for spending the day with Summer and I! Hope to see you soon (like in August for your girls with babies trip...just a reminder). :)
Now on to Tuesday night....
Tuesday evening Tom joined Summer and I and we went to my Aunt Rita's and Uncle Steve's for dinner. Ironically my cousin Mason and his family, Holly, Roman and Parker, were visiting Aunt Rita from South Carolina so we got to see them as well.
Here I am reading a book to Summer and Parker.
Tom gets some cuddles from the girls!
Ring Around the Rosy time! Boy did Summer, Roman and Parker LOVE playing Ring Around the Rosy! They did it over and over again. Most of the time they would fall down before we even said to!
We had a short but sweet visit with the Ailstocks and hope to see them all again soon!
Wednesday.....
On Wednesday Summer and slept in and relaxed at the hotel before heading to Erika's for lunch. Summer was excited to see May May again and to get to play with his toys. After lunch Summer and I headed to Aunt Paula's for the afternoon and dinner.
At Aunt Paula's we got to see my cousin Sarah, Jason and their 2 girls Alexis (5) and Maddy (2). Summer had a great time playing with the girls and we had a really nice visit. My cousins Mike and Nate were there, as well as Pap (Uncle Russel's father).
I love seeing Summer with all of her second cousins. It was hard to leave that night. You all need to come to GA again sometime soon!
Thursday....
Janna took the day off and came from DC to Baltimore for the day! We had a yummy lunch at the Inner Harbor and then spent the rest of the day catching up. It was a wonderful visit.
Wednesday evening Tom, Summer, Janna and I met up with more friends! It really was just so great to see everyone. I miss all my Maryland friends and family so much. This trip meant so much to me. It was also so much fun to tell everyone in person that I am pregnant with baby #2!
Dinner was at the Cheesecake Factory!
The Sawyer Family came to meet us. Jason, Colleen, Leah (6) and Sadie (2). Leah and Sadie are pictured with Summer above!
Candice and her oh so cute Michaela (17 months) were also able to come to dinner. Michaela is such a doll and it was great to see Can again.
Alyssa is also pregnant (due about 1 1/2 weeks before me) so it was fun to catch up in person and compare pregnancies. Congrats again!
Thanks again to everyone for meeting up with us in Baltimore. This whole trip was short but sweet but I am so glad I got to see everyone!!!! :)
