Part 1-you knew that was coming! I took over 700 pictures and then got everyone else's pictures so ended up with well over 1000. I decided to just stick with mine for blogging purposes. Part one includes our travel day there, also Mom’s birthday, and the first half of our first day in Disney!
What a magical visit. Everyone says this about Disney World but really when you take your kids there for the first time there really is just something so special and yes magical about it! Summer was the perfect age and this was a perfect birthday party for her! What are we going to do next year? Now I know Tucker was very young, 7 months at the time but with all the family that went we were good to go. We had the best ratio- 7 adults to 3 kids! It doesn’t get better then that and we all got to do everything we wanted!
Summer still talks about all the princesses she met, Mickey, the rides and mostly doing it with her cousin Hadley who she adores! We miss you Disney World and we can’t wait to come back.
Our Cast of Characters on our Trip from Summer’s View:
Tom-Daddy Jen-Mommy Melissa-Aunt Lis (Mommy’s sister)
Sue-Mom-Mom (Mommy’s Mom) Don-Pops (Mommy’s Dad)
Joe-Uncle Joe (Daddy’s Brother) Kelly-Aunt Kelly (Sister In Law)
Hadley-Summer’s Cousin (Joe and Kelly’s daughter)
All packed up and ready to go! Summer’s final gift was this princess suitcase. She still didn’t know where we were going. She thought we were going to Florida to meet up with Mom-Mom, Pops, Aunt Lis, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Joe and Cousin Hadley! Tucker’s shirt says, “Road Trip”.
Once we finally made it we went to dinner to celebrate Mom’s birthday. I say finally because we had one car sick child (Summer), one driver get a speeding ticket (Tom)-(I did want to get there fast), one baby who needed to be fed every 3 hours (Tucker), several traffic jams and one busy Mama keeping all happy and calmed down (Me).
Everyone was very happy to see one another, especially Summer, Tucker and Hadley.
Tucker thought Hadley was the funniest girl ever! Happy Birthday Mom! Thanks for road tripping on your birthday to go to Disney with us!
The girls in their matching PJ’s from Grandma Susie. Grandma Susie and Grandpa Max weren’t able to join us on this trip. We missed you!
Apparently these 2 munchkins were too excited to sleep. Not that Summer knew what was going on but she could tell something was up. Hadley told her she was going to have a magical day. Hadley did such a great job keeping a secret. Very impressed for a five year old. I love my niece so much. Hadley is the sweetest little girl and I just wished they lived closer (they live in Indiana). Love you bunches precious girl.
I got these special shirts made for their 1st visit to Disney World. Summer wanted to know why she had a one on hers like Tucker if she was 3 now. She also loved that her name was on it.
Heading in! Summer still wasn’t sure where she was but she had asked why all the buses had Mickey Mouse on them in Florida. :) As we continued walking in she started getting excited and counting all the Mickey Mouse’s she saw. She loved taking the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Little did she know how much more fun and exciting events were going to happen!
We were able to get in early because we had breakfast reservations before the park opened. This was a great way to show Summer Cinderella's castle!
We had breakfast with the Winnie The Pooh Characters! So fun! The girls even got to be in a parade around the restaurant with them.
Piglet is Mommy’s favorite Pooh character so she got in a picture as well.
Tigger was silly! :)
Summer and Daddy were looking at the castle together and discussing how Cinderella lives there with her Prince. Then Summer got to meet the Fairy Godmother. Mommy got her a special Princess autograph book from Disney World. It also holds pictures.
Time for the Carousel. Hadley and Summer wanted to ride a horse together.
Mad Hatters teacup ride! Summer loved to spin it round and round! Feel a little dizzy again thinking about it….
Time to meet the Rabbit and Alice from Alice in Wonderland (and water the plants with their fans).
Yes, there’s sweet Tucker! He just hung out a lot in his stroller and was an easy going baby about Disney. Tom took Summer on the Dumbo ride. Here’s Mom and Melissa and Tom and Summer are behind them.
Tucker is free from his car seat and one happy baby! Summer, Hadley and I on the people mover!
Tucker and his shades (lasted all of 10 seconds on him) and Summer takes a nap!
A sticker on her face and a lollipop! A happy girl after her nap.
More Magic Kingdom on it’s way……
