Summer’s Rapunzel Birthday Party!!! 5/5/13

05/05/13

So since Summer’s Dance Recital was on Saturday we decided to do her party on Sunday! What a busy fun weekend! We started this special day by giving her one last big gift from Tom and I. It was her big girl princess bike! Rapunzel Minnie was even in the basket!Oh and there were some other smaller gifts as well from Mama and Dada. All Rapunzel themed! It was a big hit and a great way to start the day!

The day continued and got even better when at 3:00 11 of her sweet friends came for her Rapunzel Birthday party! Summer knew Rapunzel was coming. We talked about how I called the queen (Rapunzel’s Mom) to see if Rapunzel could come and how Rapunzel was going to get here (on Maximus and walking) and oh so many other ideas! It was so fun and she was so excited!

The food was all set up in frying pans since that’s what Rapunzel chased Flynn Ryder with!

IMG_1095IMG_1104

The Princess is ready for her guests and favorite princess of all to arrive! Happy 4th Birthday!!! I had just as much fun as my sweet girl!

IMG_1115IMG_1097

Tucker wore his Pascal costume from Halloween for the party! We like to stick with the theme around here!

IMG_1116

Some dancing and watching the movie “Tangled” as we waited for our last SPECIAL guest to arrive!

IMG_1118IMG_1120

SHE IS HERE!!!! All the little princesses were so excited for Rapunzel’s arrival!

IMG_1121

IMG_1127IMG_1136

The first fun thing the girls did with Rapunzel was to learn about how to be a princess! Summer was all about the curtsying so Rapunzel skipped a head to that lesson. They also learned about being kind, waving, and dancing.

Tucker was checking everything out and deciding what to get into next!

IMG_1141IMG_1152

All the girls got their face painted! Tucker even got a Pascal on his hand. He was so sweet about it. He kept pointing to Rapunzel and then his hand! He may not have had lots a words yet but he sure knows how to communicate!

IMG_1145IMG_1157

While the girls waited their turn for face painting there was food to eat and Rapunzel coloring sheet to color!

Rapunzel and Snow White (Carrington)

IMG_1172

Most of the girls ready for story time!

Brianna, Addison, Carrington, Summer, Callie, Presley, Bella, Hailey, Hannah, and Gray

(Little Summer, and Shelby were around somewhere.)

IMG_1175

For story time, Summer got to sit by Rapunzel and all the girls got to help tell the story and sing along! Rapunzel sang several of her songs from her movie. It was amazing to have Rapunzel there. She also answered every question the girls posed to her so well.

“Why isn’t your hair brown and short?”

Rapunzel: “It’s grown back long and golden but isn’t magical any more.”

“Why do you have a cell phone?”

(Which was pretty hidden but someone spotted it.)

Rapunzel: “I borrowed it to make sure I knew how to get to Princess Summer’s house.”

There were countless others and Rapunzel had an answer to everything! She was wonderful!

IMG_1201IMG_1192

After story time it was balloon time! So fun! Tucker was very proud of his sword.

IMG_1199IMG_1210

Summer was last for her balloon and it was worth the wait! She got a special Ariel balloon! That’s my favorite princess so it was even more special!

IMG_1219IMG_1225

Some fun group pictures with Rapunzel and all the girls!

IMG_1233IMG_1235

Time for some singing and birthday cake and cupcakes!

Happy 4th Birthday Summer!!!!

IMG_1237IMG_1239IMG_1240IMG_1241

Such a special party! Rapunzel gave Summer this new princess crown and then it was time for her to go back to her castle. It was a perfect party and I just love birthdays, although it’s hard to believe Summer is 4. Sigh! Time really does fly! I am glad to have this blog to look back on and reference as I do scrapbooks. As far behind as I am it’s worth it. I love you so much Summer Lynn!!!!

IMG_1248

Some friends were around after the party and wanted Summer to open their presents and of course the princess was happy to do so! Then she wanted some pictures with her Pascal!

IMG_1255IMG_1256IMG_1265IMG_1272

A great end to all of Summer’s special Birthday Celebrations!

Thanks to Dada to working so hard on the decorations and food! You always do a great job at all the “work” that goes into these parties! You are a great Dada!!!

Thanks to Aunt Lis for taking these great pictures as Mama got busy! You are always so helpful in taking them and it is much appreciated it.

Thanks to Mom-Mom and Pops for all the little extras and support you do as well!

I couldn’t put on a great party and blog about it without all of you!

Thanks! I love you!!!

The Dance Recital!!! 5/4/13

The day of the dance recital is was pouring down rain! So rain jackets and rain boots were in order! I decided that her costume would survive the car ride so we got to wear it there. Oh and see she has her bow on already as well.  Winking smile

IMG_2114IMG_2115

All ready to go and running to go inside. We arrived in plenty of time and I knew just where to go!

IMG_2119

Addison and Summer as Teacakes!

IMG_2120IMG_2122

Waiting and dancing and being silly with some other teacakes. It was a long wait to get in. We were a little early but the show before us was running late as well.

IMG_2123IMG_2124

So sweet and pretty!

IMG_2127IMG_2128

We had flowers for Summer after the show. They do not allow any photography during the recital. I did get some video but it’s not that great. Although the timing said 2 mins and 45 seconds. The recital was over 3 HOURS long. Needless to say Tucker spend some time running the halls outside of the recital.

It was a great 2 mins and 45 seconds and Summer did great! The sweetest thing!

All the little ones that performed were my favorite!

Great job Summer! We love you and are so proud of you!

May 3rd-Dance Rehearsal and Birthday Dinner

So way back in May there were lots more fun events! Before I get to May let me update you on what’s been going on around here (since it will be 3 months before I get to August LOL). We found out that BZ3 is a girl!!!! Very exciting and Big Sister Summer is thrilled! With Baby #3 on the way we have decided to sell our house so that’s another reason this blog got put on hold. Our house is officially on the market (as of Friday August 9th) and is in perfect shape so now I can breathe and blog. Having 2 little ones (4 and 22 months) and being 5 months pregnant is a lot and I am tired! However, we are super excited about our sweet baby girl and we are excited about moving into a bigger house. We will be staying in our neighborhood, Reunion, and are pretty sure we are building a house. So depending on when ours sells and how busy I get again I may disappear from the blog….

But for now let’s continue with May and catch on up!!!

IMG_2077IMG_2079

So Summer had her first Dance Recital in May. Boy did I have a lot to learn about the the dance world! LOL She had a rehearsal the day before and that’s when you are allowed to take pictures and you get the professional ones taken. She also needed to wear blush and lipstick. She’s worn plenty of lip gloss (and so has Tucker thanks to Summer) but other make up was new and very exciting to her! Plus this was my first bun! I was pretty impressed since her hairs is sooooo fine and sooooo curly! So here she is ready to leave for the rehearsal….let the fun and stories begin…..

IMG_2080IMG_2089

Summer is in the top row, second to the left…missing her bow-that’s story number 2.

Story #1-We almost missed the rehearsal part!

Yup, I try my best to be early and on time. Sometimes I print directions and use the GPS. I really try to stay on it. Well this time I was on time but apparently didn’t have any idea where to go at the Gwinnett Center. I wasn’t the only one. I saw other girls in tutus and parked-not in the right spot as well. Luckily another Mom (Jessica-Addison’s mom) was already there and was able to direct me and the others.

Well unusually so the rehearsals we running ahead so when we showed up it was time to get on stage. Summer wasn’t the last on stage and didn’t miss it but talk about nerve racking.

So story #2-

The missing bow! So the bow was clipped to her outfit that she didn’t wear in the car so the outfit wouldn’t get crushed. Well the bow fell off the outfit in the garage. So I felt awful that she didn’t have the bow for the group pictures. Once again Jessica came to my rescue and lent me Addison's for the individual pictures. You can’t even tell but I felt just awful about it.

Stay tuned for Story #3….

IMG_2090IMG_2092

So sweet! The rehearsal went great! I think it was even better then the recital itself. These 3 and 4 year olds were adorable. The production was Alice in Wonderland and they were teacakes! Oh I melted!!! LOVE!

Story #3

So as we rushed in I had my phone in my hand and my camera all ready to go. I got Summer up on the stage and set my phone down in front of it to grab my camera for pictures. Well my phone slid off the ledge and under the stage into the Orchestra pit. I mean really?!? So I took a deep breath and just kept taking pictures (no video).

I had to wait to get the stage crew to go get it. It survived and happily this is the last story so Summer and I survived as well!

IMG_2093IMG_2099

More sweet pictures of the rehearsal.

IMG_2101IMG_2102

Summer wanted to show off some moves outside and I was happy to snap some more pictures of my beautiful ballerina!

IMG_2104IMG_2106

All semester long we kept asking Summer what she was in the production and she kept saying Alice. SO when she got this costume I really had no idea. When we found out she decided she was “Alice” the teacake! It was pink, frilly and had a tutu. It was perfect!

IMG_2107IMG_2110

After the rehearsal we headed to dinner for my Mom’s birthday! Summer fell asleep in the car but was a happy girl when we arrived. A fun day all around!
