So since Summer’s Dance Recital was on Saturday we decided to do her party on Sunday! What a busy fun weekend! We started this special day by giving her one last big gift from Tom and I. It was her big girl princess bike! Rapunzel Minnie was even in the basket!Oh and there were some other smaller gifts as well from Mama and Dada. All Rapunzel themed! It was a big hit and a great way to start the day!
The day continued and got even better when at 3:00 11 of her sweet friends came for her Rapunzel Birthday party! Summer knew Rapunzel was coming. We talked about how I called the queen (Rapunzel’s Mom) to see if Rapunzel could come and how Rapunzel was going to get here (on Maximus and walking) and oh so many other ideas! It was so fun and she was so excited!
Summer’s Rapunzel cake and Pascal (Rapunzel's pet lizard) cupcakes!
Party decorations!
The food was all set up in frying pans since that’s what Rapunzel chased Flynn Ryder with!
The Princess is ready for her guests and favorite princess of all to arrive! Happy 4th Birthday!!! I had just as much fun as my sweet girl!
Tucker wore his Pascal costume from Halloween for the party! We like to stick with the theme around here!
Some dancing and watching the movie “Tangled” as we waited for our last SPECIAL guest to arrive!
SHE IS HERE!!!! All the little princesses were so excited for Rapunzel’s arrival!
The first fun thing the girls did with Rapunzel was to learn about how to be a princess! Summer was all about the curtsying so Rapunzel skipped a head to that lesson. They also learned about being kind, waving, and dancing.
Tucker was checking everything out and deciding what to get into next!
All the girls got their face painted! Tucker even got a Pascal on his hand. He was so sweet about it. He kept pointing to Rapunzel and then his hand! He may not have had lots a words yet but he sure knows how to communicate!
While the girls waited their turn for face painting there was food to eat and Rapunzel coloring sheet to color!
Rapunzel and Snow White (Carrington)
Most of the girls ready for story time!
Brianna, Addison, Carrington, Summer, Callie, Presley, Bella, Hailey, Hannah, and Gray
(Little Summer, and Shelby were around somewhere.)
For story time, Summer got to sit by Rapunzel and all the girls got to help tell the story and sing along! Rapunzel sang several of her songs from her movie. It was amazing to have Rapunzel there. She also answered every question the girls posed to her so well.
“Why isn’t your hair brown and short?”
Rapunzel: “It’s grown back long and golden but isn’t magical any more.”
“Why do you have a cell phone?”
(Which was pretty hidden but someone spotted it.)
Rapunzel: “I borrowed it to make sure I knew how to get to Princess Summer’s house.”
There were countless others and Rapunzel had an answer to everything! She was wonderful!
After story time it was balloon time! So fun! Tucker was very proud of his sword.
Summer was last for her balloon and it was worth the wait! She got a special Ariel balloon! That’s my favorite princess so it was even more special!
Some fun group pictures with Rapunzel and all the girls!
Time for some singing and birthday cake and cupcakes!
Happy 4th Birthday Summer!!!!
Such a special party! Rapunzel gave Summer this new princess crown and then it was time for her to go back to her castle. It was a perfect party and I just love birthdays, although it’s hard to believe Summer is 4. Sigh! Time really does fly! I am glad to have this blog to look back on and reference as I do scrapbooks. As far behind as I am it’s worth it. I love you so much Summer Lynn!!!!
Some friends were around after the party and wanted Summer to open their presents and of course the princess was happy to do so! Then she wanted some pictures with her Pascal!
A great end to all of Summer’s special Birthday Celebrations!
Thanks to Dada to working so hard on the decorations and food! You always do a great job at all the “work” that goes into these parties! You are a great Dada!!!
Thanks to Aunt Lis for taking these great pictures as Mama got busy! You are always so helpful in taking them and it is much appreciated it.
Thanks to Mom-Mom and Pops for all the little extras and support you do as well!
I couldn’t put on a great party and blog about it without all of you!
Thanks! I love you!!!
