Hoschton, GA and Paris, France- 5/29-6/5!

Yes, you read right . . . .
Bonjour!
Tom and I went to Paris while Summer stayed in GA with her Grandparents! So this update has what Summer was up to and what Mommy and Daddy were doing from May 29th-June 5th!
Tom and I took over 1000 pictures on our trip. Don't worry this is a very small preview of them. Summer was just as busy. She sent us updating emails that included pictures (such a talented baby for 13 months). Yes, she is 13 months old now! Where does the time go? She gives kisses, points all the time, and shakes her head yes and no. Since we have been back I have taken lots of pictures. I just missed my Little Bit so much. Those will have to be in another post!

I just love my new camera! This of course is what everyone thinks of when they think Paris...the Tour De Eiffel (as everyone else calls it except us Americans)!

Here are some pictures I took of Summer to have on my new camera to scroll and look at anytime I wanted to while we were in France. These were taken the morning we left.

She always goes back to the is princess chair. Her 2 favorite things are this chair and a tennis ball.

While Mommy and Daddy were on their way to France Summer was having a blast at the pool opening party (the pool opens May 1st but they wait until the kids are out of school for the pool opening party).

Having a rest at the pool.

Tom and I went to Paris to go to the French Open. We decided a couple years ago that we are going to do all 4 Tennis Grand Slams. In 2008 we did the US Open in Flushing Meadows, New York. So this is our second one at Roland Garros in Paris! Next up, Wimbledon!

A famous windmill in the city. It's right near Moulin Rouge.

Tom and I walked by this store a couple times and there was always a group watching tennis. I decided to snap a picture this time.

The famous Mona Lisa! Last time I was in Paris I wasn't able to see it so I was glad to get to this time. IT is in the Louvre Museum. We also went to the Arc De Triumph but I just realized I didn't put a picture of it on here!

Summer meanwhile was having a great time playing in a box! Who cares about toys when you have tennis balls and boxes?

Daisy wanted to see what Summer was doing.

More fun times at the pool! Summer had a suntan when Tom and I got home. You can see why. We had a couple of cool/overcast/ rainy days and several perfect weather days in Paris. It seemed sunny and very warm in GA the whole time we were gone.

A visit to a local park.

Having fun taking the tissues out of the box!

Back to Mommy and Daddy! We had 2 full days of tennis and saw lot of matches. During the Roger Federer and Robin Sodering Match it really started to rain and the courts had to be covered.

Tom and I stayed in our seats and covered ourselves in our ponchos. We were going to wait it out to see Roger!
They did manage to get all the water off. The staff at Roland Garros has it down. Sadly Roger lost but it was a good match against Robin.

During our second day of tennis we sat about 10 rows from the court and saw 2 legends matches, and 2 doubles matches. The Legends matches were players who are 45 and up and were playing for fun and were very amusing!

John Macenroe played in one of the Legends matches.

We got to see the Williams sisters play! We had seen Serena play before but to see them together is something else. They won this match and went on to win the championship. It was a good match. We had seen the team they played the day before.

Back to Summer! She had a nice time visiting with Ms. Joyce and Ms. Carrie and with Marley. Summer loves dogs!

This was her kiss before she learned the closed mouth kiss. So sweet! It's much better then her grabbing poor dogs with all her might! LOL

A messy dinner time!

Time for a bath!

So sweet! This was made me tear up when I saw in Paris.

Such a helper putting her clothes in the laundry basket!

And she's off! Summer does this to me as well. She just giggles and giggles as she runs away!

So tired after such a busy day!
Rise and shine it's time to start our day (around 6 am!).

Our day started and ended with the Eiffle Tower. The lines were too long in the morning to go up it but we came back at sunset. The sun doesn't set in Paris until aound 10:00pm. We usually wouldn't eat dinner to 8:30/9ish. We had nice full days but were never running around crazy. It was a nice way to do Paris!

Tom and I found a great Bakery (you will see more pictures later). Tom LOVED their sandwhices. We would have breakfast every morning at the bakery and then get our lunch for later. On this day we had lunch along the Seine River!
We had just taken a boat ride on the Seine River and spotted out where we wanted to have lunch. From here we went to the Museum De Orsay and then to a cafe for some pick me up cappachinos!

On the Eiffle Tower at sunset!!!

They turned on the lights while we were on it!!!

Our bakery! This sweet girl helped us every moring. She didn't speak any English but appreciated our efforts in French and we managed to get what we wanted. Here she is getting our baguette for the day.

Tom and his favorite sandwhich. When they had them he would have one for breakfast and for lunch! He has tried to recreate them here in the States but they just aren't the same. I think he would have brought back 20 of them if he could!

I would have a croissant and a dessert every morning for breakfast. I just started going down the row. They were all delicious and it was a great way to start my day!

We found a market right down the street from our Bakery. It was really interesting. You could get clothers, fish, veretables, shoes or meat all at the one market.

Summer got to go visit her Aunt Lis and had a great time as you can see!

The Palace of Versailles! It is such a huge amazing place. We took the tour on the inside and had lunch in the gardens after. It was worth the longer metro ride to get there!

These are the twin bears that we got Summer and her cousin Hadley. Their names are Roger and Rafael after Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal (You will never guess who came up with those names?). They had some adventures in Paris as well.....

At the Eiffle Tower!

Along the Seine River!

Having breakfast at the bakery!

Summer loves "Roger" and even took him with her into her Princess chair!

Thanks Mommy and Daddy I love my bear!

We had such an amazing trip but it was so good to come back to our sweet baby girl. I really think she changed a little while we were away. Thanks Mom-Mom and Pops for taking such good care of her!

Au Revoir for now!
