Happy Birthday Husband/Dada!!!

Tom’s Halloween Birthday is such a fun one but so busy now, especially with the kids! We have an annual tennis round robin to celebrate his special day after Halloween.

We love you so much and appreciate everything you do for us! It warms my heart how much you love to spend Halloween trick or treating with our kids and just enjoying the holiday. It’s hard to share your birthday with a big holiday and you do it so well! We love you so much!

Mommy and Me-September 2012

 

Our next door neighbor, Ms. Nancy, is a retired teacher. On Monday’s she does “Mommy and Me” in our neighborhood meeting house. This year I am working on an alphabet scrapbook for Tucker. Summer has 2 so I thought I would at least get him one going. So you might see more pictures of Tucker at Mommy and Me as I try to work on his ABC album! He really is into this year….dancing, crawling, now walking/running, playing instruments and of course enjoying the snacks.

Summer is a pro at Mommy and Me. This is her 4th year at Mommy and Me. We started going when she was 4 months old. She loves it and sings all the songs and finger plays. She dances and loves to sit in the front for the stories and to learn about the letters.

I am so glad to have this time with my kids. I enjoy seeing the interactions and watching them grow and learn! I still can’t believe I just typed that this is Summer’s FOURTH year in Mommy and Me! Time flies!

I did a practice round with Tucker’s Owl cupcakes for his birthday. They were perfect to share with our friends at Mommy and Me. Plus it was “Cc” day so Cupcakes fit in perfect!

Tucker is a good eater, just a little messy!

In the beginning of September Summer, Tucker and I went to visit Tom at work. We got to see his office and meet a lot more of his co-workers. We were also able to have lunch together. After lunch Summer, Tucker and I got to go shopping at North Point Mall! They have several stores that we don’t have near us so it worked out for us to visit Daddy and go shopping!

1st Day of 3 year old Preschool-09/04/12

 

Summer had her first day of 3 year old preschool in the beginning of September! She goes 3 days a week this year (Tues/Wed/Thurs) and has Ms. Meredith as her lead teacher and Ms. Mary as her assistant teacher. Summer had Ms. Mary last year as her lead teacher so we are very happy to have her again as one of Summer’s teachers!

Summer is having a great year so far. Ms. Meredith and Ms. Mary call themselves the “M&M’s” and the class has learned all about following their “Marvelous Manners.”  Summer adores her teachers and school! It warms my heart. She often has me text Ms. Meredith something she wants to tell her. Isn’t it amusing? A 3 year old asking me to text her preschool teacher!!

Ms. Meredith nicknamed Summer, “Summer Sunshine” and send weekly emails with updates on what is going on in the classroom. Celebration Academy has started Zoophonics this year and I am very impressed. Summer learns a letter, letter sound, animal, animal name and a motion every week. She has learned 4 so far and can tell you them all. She can’t wait to get to S since that is her favorite letter!
