February 24th and 25th
Our last 2 days in Disney and the final blog post! What a fun trip this was. It deserved all 6 posts! I cannot imagine if we ever go for a week!
Here I am after getting about 3 hours of sleep and getting up at 3:30 to run 13.1 miles! Crazy I know! I did get to wear a tiara and tutu!!!! So worth it to be a princess!
This is before the run!
It was pretty dark up to this point and I was too busy running around other princesses or having to walk because (as you can see) there were so so so many runners. Over 26,000 to be exact! However, I would do it again! Disney races are so special and just so fun! So many people dressed up, music and of course princesses to meet!
More views of the castle and the crowds!
My first stop! I just had to get a picture with Belle in her formal dress in front of New Fantasy Land. It’s hard to see Belle now unless you got to her story time! I knew Summer and Hadley would love that I met her. Plus I had to meet at least one princess in my tutu! This stop made this particular mile an almost 20 minute one! OH well! No personal record set here!
Once I stopped for one princess I decided it would be okay to stop again to meet Mary Poppins and crew. This gave me a moment to upload my Belle picture to Facebook!
We started and ended in Epcot so here’s Spaceship Earth as we run back into Epcot and run the last couple of miles! An amazing race!! So glad I did the Disney Princess half! Another 13.1 miles under my belt!
After my half I met up with Tom, changed and we headed into Epcot. Kelly and Joe had the girls and found the perfect Minnie ears for them! Kelly made the girls matching shirts and tutus! SOOOOOO CUTE!!!! Kelly and I even had shirts to match the girls! Here they are meeting Donald Duck in Mexico (in Epcot of course).
Kelly and I found these amazing autograph books for the girls! There is a special section for about 8 of the princesses with their story, a spot for autographs, a spot for a picture and a little envelope for special items. It really is a great book. So the girls (well Kelly and I ) mad it a priority to get each of the highlighted princesses autographs. That meant we were on a mission and some of them are hard to get. Belle in particular. She wasn’t at the castle dinner since she is busy doing story time and she doesn’t do autographs at story time so really you can only find her in her day clothes at Epcot.
Luckily the guys decided to walk around and find a an adult beverage and stumbled upon the spot where Belle would be. They decided this would be a good spot to have their drink. So Kelly and I went running from the other side of the park to meet them to wait only 5 minutes and to be first in line to get our, I mean Summer and Hadley’s, books autographed!
Mission complete!!!
Plus the back of the book has lots of pages for other signatures. So we did every other page so I can add pictures of all the characters to Summers book!
We got Belle’s autograph!!!!
Sweet girls in their matching outfits!!!
Time for some fun face painting!!!
Here I am in my Princess half shirt with Summer’s Rapunzel hat.
Summer and I also got a picture together. I have my hand out like the princesses do when you meet them!
So sweet!
Since we couldn’t have possibly spent enough money yet or had enough souvenirs we went to Downtown Disney before we left! I got the girls matching 2013 Minnie's (last time I got them the 2012 ones so they just had to have these)! Summer also got a squirt from Uncle Joe to remember their Turtle Talk with Crush experience. Tom and I missed it but apparently Summer stumped Crush for a second (he is a digital interactive turtle) when she asked him. “what are turtles made of?”. When he recovered he told her “hopes and dreams little dudette”. LOL Only Summer!
By for now Cousin Hadley and Disney! We had a magical time as always and we are so glad we could all be together!!
