Tom, the kids and I drove to Indiana on February 2nd to surprise Tom’s Brother for his big “4-0”. Tom and his brother are 8 years apart in case you are trying to guess how old Tom is. Anyways it was Tucker’s first road trip and our first taking both! It was a long drive but they both did great! There was just one time had to climb in the back between them to make everyone happy (plus Tom was on a work call so it was just easier that way). Summer was 2 years 9 months old and Tucker was 4 months old during this trip.
We got in late Thursday night and Friday was the day to surprise Joe! We went to a Mexican restaurant where he thought he was just having lunch with his wife, Kelly and his daughter, Hadley. SURPRISE! The Zimmerman’s were there!
It was also cousin Hadley’s 5th birthday so it was wonderful to get to celebrate that with her. This is the first time we have been there for her birthday. You don’t typically drive or really go to Indiana in the middle of winter! There was a little snow but not much!
We also got to see lots of family on the Zimmerman side which was really special. Everyone loved meeting sweet Tucker and seeing how much Summer has changed.
It was a quick but fun trip and we hope to see everyone again soon!
Summer and Tucker on the road trip to Indiana!
Yay! We made it to Grandma Susie’s and Grandpa Max’s! We are free from our car seats!
SURPRISE! We came for your birthday Uncle Joe! Here’s Tucker, Joe, Max and Tom.
Summer was so so so so excited to see her cousin Hadley (behind her). She was very energetic the whole trip! Grandma Susie with Tucker!
Happy Birthday Hadley!!!
Cookie making time with Grandma Susie! Summer didn’t mind getting her hands dirty but Hadley wasn’t too sure! Everyone loved eating the cookies!
Happy 40th Joe!! So glad we were able to spend this special day with you!
Yes, we woke up to SNOW one morning! Summer was thrilled! Luckily it was pretty we and was even raining while we were outside so it didn’t stop any plans and didn’t cause any problems for our trip back to GA. It’s been a mild winter everywhere!
Summer enjoyed the snow and making footprints and snowballs!
Tucker having a nap during all the snow fun. Then he put on his hat and his smile to go to cousin Hadley’s birthday party.
Hadley’s Birthday Party was a princess themed one with bounce houses! Right up Summer’s alley! She had a blast! It is so great when the girls can be together.
Happy 5th Birthday Hadley!!!
