Summer in Savannah! (9/4-9/7)

So I know this blog post is "Summer in Savannah" but we start off with I heart NY...it was a year ago that Tom and I found out we were pregnant with Baby Z. We were in NY for the US tennis Open shortly after and we got all three of us I love NY shirts! Daddy wasn't able to wear his shirt for a photo shoot-he says he was busy with work (silly excuse...just kidding. I heart you!).

Now we head to Savannah!
Tom, Summer and I met up with Aaron, Michelle and their 10 month old Carrington Sims.
Tom and Aaron had a Century (yes 100 miles) bike ride on Sunday so we decided to make it a long weekend. Thanks for planning all the fun things for us to do Michelle. We had a great time with the Sims family!!!

Carrington got Summer a couple of her favorite toys. Summer wants to get Carrington a big bow so they can look even more like twins!

Aaron's parents came to our hotel to sit with the sleeping babies while we went out to River Street. Here's Aaron and Michelle.

Here we are as Summer sleeps soundly at the hotel.

The Daddy's stayed with the girls as the Mommy's went and got pedicures at a local spa. What a great way to start the trip! Great idea Michelle!

Ready to hit the town of Savannah! All smiles!

Carrington is also all smiles and ready to go!

In one of the many squares of the city of Savannah.

Some photos before our carriage ride throughout the city. The girls were pretty good for this hour long tour....we aren't sure how many friends we made but hey we learned a lot!

The girls became immediate friends. Here they are trying to hug!

They did it! This made the Mommy's happy!

All of us on the carriage ride!

I thought Summer was sleeping but when I took this picture she peeked at me!

Trying to get those feet!

Got them!

Carrington wants to know what's going on with the photo shoot on the bed!

While Tom and Aaron did there 103 mile bike ride, Michelle and I took the babies to the beach. It was Summer's first time and I hadn't been in over 2 years. She loved it and I fell in love with the beach all over again. We drove to Tybee Island that's not too far away from Savannah. What a great day!!

Summer borrowed Carrington's Bumbo seat for the beach. It really came in handy. Thanks for sharing Carrington.

Michelle and Carrington

Carrington takes a turn in her Bumbo!

Sleepy girls! A nice family lent us their umbrella and chairs while they went to their beach house for lunch! Only in the South! So nice!

Here are Tom and Aaron coming in from their 103 mile bike ride!! Way to go!

Summer (and Carrington) slept as the Daddy's came to the end of their ride!

Having a well deserved beer with their "Savannah Century" t-shirts on!

Lovin' on Summer!

The Mommy's trade babies and try and get a pic. The indiviual ones turned out better!

Back in the car for the ride back home. What a great trip!!! :)
