Tucker's 1 month!

Tucker turned 1 month old yesterday-10/30/11! I took his picture with his Puppy. This is the puppy we made when we found out we were having a boy. It has a shirt on that says "It's a boy" and has his recorded heartbeat in it. For those of you whom have been following the blog for a while you know that I did monthly pictures of Summer with her bunny! The tradition lives on with Tucker! It's so easy at the beginning to get the picture!

I can't believe my sweet baby boy is already a month old!!! He is awake more but still not a lot. Tom thinks he has been asleep at least 18-20 of the first 30 days of his life! He is such a sweet baby and I just love cuddling and holding him. When he is awake he likes to be help by his Mama or look at one of is baby black and white toys. His little smiles make my day and he is just a wonderful addition to our family.

He has his one month appointment on Tuesday so I will update you on all his stats (along with Summer's-she has her 2 1/2 year appointment) at that point.

Some of you might also remember Summer's pictures on her quilt to show her growth. Well that quilt was made by my students at Celebration (she still uses and loves it).

So I had my parents, Tom's parents, my sister, Tom's brother and family and Tom, Summer and I pick out fabric to make Tucker a quilt. It turned out pretty big so I am going to use half of it for the pictures.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween and a Happy Birthday!!!

It's Halloween and Tom's Birthday! Summer, Tucker and I have a special surprise for him that I don't want to post about yet because he doesn't know yet! Happy Birthday Daddy!
Here's our Halloween photo shoot! I have to admit this isn't my best scan job but it has been a busy busy weekend and I did while holding a 1 month old and "eating" cake my 2 1/2 year old "baked" for me in her kitchen! :)

Summer is still in love with Minnie Mouse so that was her pick for her costume! She makes a cute Minnie if I do say so myself!
Tucker has 3 costumes but for these photos he's a pumpkin. Summer was a pumpkin (and a flower) for her first Halloween so it only seemed fitting that Tucker would be one for his first. When looking at her Pumpkin photo shoot and looking at his picture it really is amazing how much they look alike!

Tucker's First Week!

October 2nd-7th

So Tucker's first week flew by! Life with a newborn and a 2 year old sure keeps you on your toes and busy! I love it though!

Summer is doing well as a big sister! Her main resistance is photos...I guess she is used to be the center of attention for all pictures (she did have professional photos taken monthly her first year of life and almost monthly her second). Maybe I created this problem. :)

Tucker is a sleeper! His first week he just slept and slept and slept. Sometimes I would even have to wake him up to feed him. He is such a sweetie and when I can I like to take naps with him.

Welcome home Tucker! There were also balloons on our mailbox! Thanks Mom!

Summer and Tom went to get Papa Jack's for us the Sunday after we came home. Bill sent along a T-shirt for Tucker. Summer really wanted Tucker to wear it so I put it on top of him. Some of you may remember that Summer wore her pink Papa Jacks T-shirt as a dress when she was a newborn. That won't be happening for Tucker!

Summer and Tucker look a lot a like as newborns so far. Of course under his hat is lots of dark hair and Summer had none but their noses and mouths really look a lot alike!

Tom took Summer to Mommy and Me the Monday after I had Tucker (3 days old).

They had a great time learning about the letter D. D for bring Daddy to Mommy and Me day!

On Tuesday, October 4th Tucker had his first Dr's appointment.

He did great! He weighed in at 7bls and 20". Not sure how he lost an 1/2 inch but you know how wiggly babies can be. The Dr was happy with his weight so we don't have to go back for a weight check! Way to eat Tucker!

While we took Tucker to the Dr's Summer had preschool. She wore her Big Sister shirt and tutu of course. I also sent in some pictures so she could show her teacher and friends her new baby brother. Ms. Mary let us know that at times Summer was sad and when they asked why she said, "I miss baby Tucker." Very sweet! Thursday was her next day of preschool and she was happy and fine! She got over that quick! :)

PS-This is from the morning I had Tucker-September 30th. Summer was helping me pick out hats for Tucker for the hospital and decided to wear one. She also said some really cute things while I was having contractions. She told me "to put a band aide on my belly" and she "was sorry for my hurt feelings." You have got to love the ideas and things that 2 year olds say!

September Catch Up

So before Tucker arrived it was a busy month for Miss Summer! Here is our September catch up!

Summer continues to love school and is doing well! I am so glad she loves her teachers and her friends and she tells me about it!


A picture from my "Sprinkle". Janet, Melissa, Mom, and Jessica threw a little shower for me and Little Guy! I now how BLUE and boy stuff! Thanks to everyone for celebrating in his upcoming arrival!

Summer likes to help me in the kitchen. She has plenty of aprons but of course they are upstairs in the bonus room. I will have to bring one down for next time!

Swim Lessons!

This was Summer's last lesson. She is in Preschool level 1 (no parent in water...yay!).

When Summer starts back in January she will be in Preschool 2! I am so proud of her!

Mommy Me-Open House, A, B & C

***This post was ready to go for last week but we had an early special delivery of Tucker.**

Mommy and Me has started again!

Summer loves loves loves Mommy and Me with Ms. Nancy! She has really learned the songs, dances away and sits and listens to the story. Ms. Nancy is doing little alphabet books this year and we read each one every night. Summer is also learning her ABC's in school so it's great that her learning is being reinforced all the way around!
