Behind again….LOL I have this MD trip and tons of Easter festivities to catch up on! And before you know it Summer will be celebrating her 3rd birthday!!
Maryland Trip
So Tom had work in Maryland and the kids and I were able to come along to visit family and friends. It was such a wonderful trip. I got to meet 3 new babies and lots of friends got to meet Tucker.
I was sad when I got back so I just kept saying the Dr. Seuss quote- “Don’t be sad that it is over. Be happy that it happened.” Family is forever and some of these girls I have been friends with for over15 years (half my life-wow!).
Monday-our 14 hour travel day. Summer got carsick, we stopped for a couple meals and we hit traffic. This is not the norm. We got home in less then 10 1/2 hours ( and Summer got carsick again).
Tuesday- I had some time in the morning to take the kids to the inner harbor and then Janna came to Baltimore from DC to spend the afternoon/early evening with us.
Wednesday-I had the day to myself with the kids. We took the water taxi to Fells Point and back and then had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory!
Enjoy Part 1 of our MD adventures!
Our Suite in Downtown Baltimore was great! Summer had her own “room”-the front room! Tucker had his own “room”-the part of the bathroom that had just the shower and sinks in it (there was a separate room for the toilet). And then we had our own room. Each had room had their own doors so it really worked out! Here’s Summer joining Tucker in his pack and play in front of the shower! They both loved being in there together. Makes me wonder why we stopped using playpens?!?
At the Inner Harbor! Summer loved the boat, “The Constellation.” We got to see the flag being raised.
These are some bike racks we found out and an about. Summer really liked them!
Summer found some pretty flowers and of course Tucker had a nap!
Since it was the first day of Spring Rita’s gave out free water ice! Yum! Tucker was in his “Crabby” shirt. Only fitting to wear in MD (MD is know for their crabs).
We then met up with Janna for lunch at M & S Grill and then hanging out! We then had dinner at Phillips! Yum. We weren’t able to eat crabs this trip but hopefully next time. It would have taken too long with the kiddos (and it was getting too late).
Day 3-Wednesday! Adventures with Mama! Off we went on the double stroller to take the water taxi and have lunch in Fells Point! I have to hand it to the people (many of which were tourist) they sure do help a Mama out when there isn’t a ramp or she is unloading a double stroller to put on a boat! I was very grateful for all the help! Summer was being a great listener as well so that helped! Tucker, as par for the course, just hung out in his carrier most of the time!
On the water taxi! We are ready to go!
Summer wanted a picture of this duck! Tucker and Summer going for a ride!
Once we got to Fells Point we went to the toy boutique, “Amuse.” So cute! Tucker got his own Sophie the Giraffe, which renamed, Steve, and Summer got a girls tool box full of tools, screws and bolts! Great finds and both were used throughout the rest of the week. Next we went to BOP (Brick Oven Pizza) for lunch. We hung out there for a while and the staff was really helpful. We need to lift the stroller to get in and out of this restaurant.
While I fed Tucker, Summer amused herself by chasing the pigeons. She really thought she could catch one. She was very determined and did this for a while. She really did get so close I was afraid she would catch one. LOL Everyone was amused by her and she kept saying I am going to catch a pet bird! :)
Summer on the run. Watch out pigeon! Tucker really love his giraffe!
Back on the Water Taxi again! It was very overcast that day (and a lot of the trip) but luckily it never rained on us!
Summer is happy with her new tool kit. There’s the Water Taxi we took our rides on!
More fun with Steve! Tom had to work late so I decided to take the kids to the Cheesecake Factory! Yummy and kid friendly (plus we really don’t have one close to where we live in GA). Summer was excited about her chocolate milk!
She thought she was excited about the chocolate milk until she saw our cheesecake dessert! I asked for a little extra whip cream and boy did we get some whip cream! YUM! Tucker slept! :)
We then went with Daddy to grab some dinner for himself. We were still too full from our dinner and cheesecake to eat anything else!
Next up…part 2!
