February 21st- 25th
So back to Disney we go!!! We LOVE Disney! I signed up for the Princess Half Marathon in the fall so we could go back in February. It says a lot when you are willing to run 13.1 miles to go back to a place. :)
This trip we decided to have Tucker stay home with my Mom and Dad. Joe, Kelly and Hadley were meeting up with us (Tom’s brother, sister in law and Summer’s cousin Hadley) and it just made sense to keep it the 3 of us. Plus they don’t allow strollers in line at Disney and trying to keep Tucker contained in a line would have been very tricky. It was a good decision and a trip he wouldn’t have remembered anyways. He had a blast with Mom-Mom and Pops and I will have a blog post with pictures of what he was up to while we were away.
With that in mind we planned some special events for the girls that Tucker wouldn’t necessary y appreciate at age 1 or age 5!
So most of this post is going to be about Summer and Hadley and their “Perfectly Princess Tea Party!”
Enjoy the magic…..I am ready to go back!
Traveling to Disney! Summer fell fast asleep for a lot of the drive. This is good because she needed to save her energy for the whirlwind of Disney. Tom had a conference call for part of the way so I hopped in the back put on some ear phones and watched “Brave” with Summer! We hadn’t seen it so it was a good one to watch on our way to Florida! Tom was amused to say the least to look back and see us both with headphones on. Plus it was like he was our chauffeur!
All read for bed! Summer brought her favorite blanket and some of her friends with her for bedtime. She put Rapunzel at my spot because she thought I might need a friend. That was very nice of her to do since Rapunzel is her favorite!
We met up with Joe, Kelly and Hadley at breakfast before going to Magic Kingdom! We didn’t plan a character breakfast this morning since we had a tea to get to at 10:15! Oh and the whipped cream is Minnie’s bow since Summer requested a Minnie Mouse waffle. Dada is so good to her!
Sweet cousins all dressed up as their favorite princess to go to the tea. Summer was in Rapunzel's wedding dress and Hadley was dressed up as Ariel!
So happy to be together again!
Tea Time!
The Princess Tea is all about the movie, “Sleeping Beauty”. It is lead by Miss Rose Petal. Miss Rose Petal is a rose petal who was in the story and now has been magically transformed by Merryweather, Fauna and Flora (the 3 fairies in “Sleeping Beauty”) to a person to tell the story of Princess Aurora!
I have to admit the whole things was amazing and worth every penny. I did sweat it out a bit because Summer is only 3 and we were using real tea cups and tea pots. I can look back and laugh now but at times it was a little stressful. She was by no means the youngest there but I think a little older would be better. However for this trip, the timing was perfect and she LOVED every minute of it.
When you first arrive each girl is individually sprinkled with rose pedals by Miss Rose Pedal and given a tiara!
Summer loves to curtsy and was happy to do so with Miss Rose Pedal!
When the girls got to our table they found their Princess Aurora dolls with wands! Summer was thrilled. I have zoomed in on the second picture because if you look closely Summer’s Princess Aurora doll is missing a shoe. Kelly and I searched for that shoe for half the tea. I couldn’t figure out how Summer had lost it so quickly. Well now looking back at the pictures I realize that her doll was missing a shoe to start with. We did eventually ask for another and of course our server had no problem getting us another. Amusement number one! LOL
Loving on their new dolls!
Everything was labeled “Princess Summer”.
Summer and I enjoyed this special tea together! Oh how I love having a girl and a boy! I get the best of both worlds!
Summer’s yummy plate of food! She had her own tea pot and tea cup!
So I mentioned I was a little stressed during some of the tea party! Well Summer managed to drop and spill her tea cup when it was perfectly quiet in the room. Oops! ;)
Then later I tried to catch her teapot as it went crashing to the floor. I caught it but it still managed to crack on the edge of the table. Another oops! Summer is only 3 and the table was pretty crowed. I am smiling now as I think back! LOL
Hadley had just turned 6 about 3 weeks before we came and we told her we were celebration her birthday with her at Disney so when Miss Rose Pedal asked about birthday Hadley raised her hand! It was sweet. So the whole tea party got to sing to her!
The girls got to welcome Princess Aurora with Miss Rose Pedal.
There’s Princess Aurora!!!
Learning to dance with Princess Aurora!
Cake time! It was just as yummy as it looked! And I am pretty sure Summer would agree with me! I think she at every last crumb!
Miss Rose Pedal came around to sign the girls autograph books and talk a little over dessert.
Time for Princess Aurora to come visit, sign the girls’ books and take some photos! You can just tell how excited the girls were!
Princess Aurora gave the girls each a rose. They also got special bracelets to wear!
Time for the Princess Parade! Summer got to lead the way and she loved every minute of it!
A sweet picture with her Princess Aurora doll and then off to get the dolls birth certificate and scrapbook kit!
After we left the tea we went back to Magic Kingdom for the day! That will be up next.
