Erika, Mason and Jake Come to Visit Part 1

Back in the beginning of November Erika, Mason and Jake came to visit from Maryland! Erika is one of my best friends from high school and her kids are close to Summer and Tucker’s ages. Erika braved the about 12 hour drive with kids and stops by herself to come visit. She did it in one day and was still sane when she arrived. In November Mason was about a month away from turning 3 and Jake was 10 months old. They were here November 6th to 11th and we had a GREAT visit! So great I think there will be 3 blog posts on their visit!

2 peas in a pod! These 2 had the best time together and just were so sweet! They played together and just had so much fun. There little conversations were so funny and they liked holding hands!

Summer’s school had a Turkey Trot as a fundraiser. The kids had to walk or run laps and then collect money per lap that they ran. Erika stayed home with Tucker and Jake and I took Mason with me so he could see Summer and join in on the fun.

When Summer saw Mason she ran up and gave him the biggest hug. It lasted so long I had time to snap a photo!

Summer and Mason held hands for the first lap of the trot. The walked it and had a great time!

The second lap they decided they needed to stop and have a drink. LOL They had a water station for the kids.

Then it was time for some RUNNING!

Mason (May or May-May as Summer sometimes still call him) got tired on the 6th or so lap so we watched as Summer ran the rest. She ran a total of 10 laps! They punched her name tag on each round and then sent home a certificate stating that she did a total of 10 laps in the turkey trot!

One morning we had to have some Papa Jack’s Country Kitchen for breakfast! True southern food! Tucker is there but sound asleep in the carrier! Summer, May, Jake and Erika are pictured!

Look for post #2 soon!
