Lolli, our Elf

 

So most of you who keep up with the Zimmerman blog know that Lolli, our Elf came to us last year (2011)!

2011: Lolli got a skirt and didn’t mind hanging out in the same spot for several days. She did her job but Summer didn’t quite understand the concept (Summer was 2 1/2 at the time).

2012: Lolli moved somewhere every night and Summer ( now 3 1/2) got the concept perfectly! She loved looking for her every morning. She also hated and dreaded the thought of Lolli reporting back to Santa that she was naughty. Summer loved reminding Tucker that Lolli was watching and a couple times went running to  Lolli to tell on Tucker. We have considered inviting Lolli to pop back here and there throughout the year! :)

In 2013 we expect Lolli to get a little silly and mischievous. She was fun just finding her every morning. We also expect she will have a partner in crime (Tucker’s Elf) so that could make it even more interesting!

For now here are some of the pictures of Lolli’s “watching” spots. She was also in both kids trees and the big tree several times.

Lolli loved this wreath that Dada made from extra pine from a Christmas tree! Summer loved that this is where Lolli was.

Lolli grabbed one of Summer’s candy canes. This tickled Summer so much!

Here’s Lolli up on our kitchen cabinets just watching everything that is going on. She was there the day we made cookies and saw the mess we made!

This one was a funny spot! She was hanging upside down! Silly Lolli!

Of course her last stop was the Christmas tree ready for Santa to come take her home until next Christmas!

Bye Lolli! We miss you!

PS Summer was pretty upset Christmas morning when Lolli really was gone. Of course all the gifts and incoming visitors quickly distracted her from her missing her Elf.
